We are excited to announce that Crispin Glover, the actor who played George McFly in the Back to the Future Trilogy, will be joining us in a special screening of the first film on Wednesday, October 21st. Crispin will be performing his Big Slide Show and reading from his books before and after the feature so come early and stay late!

Crispin Glover is an American film actor, director, screenwriter, recording artist, publisher, and author. Glover is also well known for portraying eccentric people on screen such as Layne in River’s Edge, unfriendly recluse Rubin Farr in Rubin and Ed, obnoxious emcee Gary Shandling in The Doors, unsavory character George McFly in Back to the Future and its sequel Back to the Future Part II, unfriendly recluse Andy Warhol in The Doors, eccentric recluse Willard Stiles in Willard, Glenn Waldhoer in Dead Man and Lewis Barnavelt in Johnny Depp’s upcoming adaptation of John Bellairs’ The House with a Clock in Its Walls. In addition to these roles Glover has had many other well known roles including Charlie in Charlie’s Angels and Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle.

Glover’s film career has spanned over three decades and includes roles in such classics as Back to the Future, Charlie’s Angels, Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter and River’s Edge. A dedicated performance artist and director, he is also a published author and musician.

Crispin Hellion Glover (born April 20, 1964) is an American actor, director, screenwriter, recording artist, publisher, and author. He is known for portraying eccentric people on screen such as George McFly in Back to the Future (1985), Layne in River’s Edge (1986), unfriendly recluse Rubin Farr in Rubin and Ed (1991), Andy Warhol in The Doors (1991), Phil Wedmaier in What’s Eating Gilbert Grape (1993), The Thin Man in Charlie’s Angels (2000) and Willard Stiles in Willard (2003). In 2013 he brought his history performance art show It Is Crispin Hellion Glover to Australia.

George McFly is an aspiring science fiction writer in Hill Valley, California. George is a high school student in 1955 and a middle-aged man in 1985. He is the father of Dave, Linda, and Marty McFly. He is also the husband of Lorraine Baines-McFly and the brother-in-law of Stella Baines.

He was portrayed by Crispin Glover in Back to the Future and by Jeffrey Weissman in Back to the Future Part II and Back to the Future Part III. In some video games based on the trilogy, George was voiced by Michael J. Fox (who played his son), Billy Zane, or Tom Wilson (who played Biff Tannen).

In honor of the day Marty McFly traveled back to in Back to the Future II, Doc Brown is going to introduce a special screening of the film with his friend, Christopher Lloyd.

The event will take place at the Electric Cinema in Birmingham, England on October 21st. Tickets will be available for purchase from October 1st.

On October 21, 2015, the world saw Marty McFly travel to the future in Back to the Future Part II. To celebrate this milestone anniversary, a special event is taking place at The Hollywood Theatre in Portland, Oregon.

Christopher Lloyd will be in attendance on Sunday, September 20th for a screening of Back to the Future followed by a Q&A with the actor.
