Everything is an opportunity.

Yesterday I got home from a show and I’m laying on my bed, getting ready to go out for the night. My phone rings and it’s some guy who wants me to come in tomorrow for a callback for the Broadway production of ‘Peter Pan.’

I had called the casting director that morning and left him a message saying that I was available tomorrow and Wednesday. So, he calls me back at 8:30 at night and says, “Can you come in tomorrow morning?”

This is exactly what happened last time I auditioned for ‘Peter Pan.’ So, when I got the call, I thought to myself, “I’ve already been through this.”

We get to the audition and it’s packed with actors. You can tell they’re all thinking the same thing. ‘What are the chances of them giving me this role?’ Then they call my name.

I walk in there like I own the place. My chest out, head held high and a big smile on my face. I say hi to everyone in the room; you never know who you’re talking to since casting directors can be producers or directors too.

As soon as they hand me my sides (the script), one of them says “Ok…so

Actors are one of the most high-profile and talented people in the entertainment industry. With that said, it is a very difficult path to get to their level. Many actors spend years doing theater before they make it onto a screen. It is common for many to work odd jobs while they try to make a start. In addition, there are many stars who have no formal training and make their way into the business through other means

The most important thing to know about actors is that it is a slow climb to become famous. Most people do not start out famous or even well known. They may get lucky and land a large role early on, but most often than not they have to work their way up. The best way to be discovered is to do as much theater as possible. Many actors join local companies in order to perform more regularly, even if they do not get paid much money at first.

A lot of what makes an actor famous is luck and timing. Some stars are simply in the right place at the right time, such as Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence who were discovered by chance after being spotted doing community theater productions. A lot of others were scouted for commercials or music videos which led them into film roles later on in life like Mil

It is a far, far better thing that I do, than I have ever done; it is a far, far better rest that I go to than I have ever known. – Charles Dickens

I am not myself – though I be mad, as I am mad in craft. – William Shakespeare

What a piece of work is a man! How noble in reason! How infinite in faculty! In form and moving how express and admirable! In action how like an angel! In apprehension how like a god! The beauty of the world! The paragon of animals! And yet, to me, what is this quintessence of dust? Man delights not me: no, nor woman neither. – William Shakespeare

It’s not that we spend five years preparing for the eleven years in the rest of our lives. It’s that we spend all eleven years preparing for the five minutes in our lives like this one right now when we’re on stage. – Aaron Sorkin

I was never really insane except upon occasions when my heart was touched. – Edgar Allan Poe

I would rather be a superb meteor, every atom of me in magnificent glow, than a sleepy and permanent planet. – Jack London

The first theatre to be called the Globe was built 1599, by the playing company of which Shakespeare was a member. The Globe was an open-air amphitheatre, with a circular plan and thatched roof. Its stage projected into the yard before the building, where standing audience members watched the on-stage action surrounded by three tiers of steeply raked seating.

The second Globe Theatre burned down in 1613 when a cannon shot during a performance of Henry VIII ignited the straw that covered the stage. It was rebuilt in 1614 without a thatched roof, opening for business again the following year. The Puritans closed all theatres in 1642, and pulled down the Globe shortly afterward.

The third Globe Theatre opened in 1997, about 750 feet (230 m) from the site of the original theatre on Bankside.
