Omer Faruk Sorak, who is a very successful actor of Turkish TV series and cinema, was born in 1971 in Ankara. He completed his high school education in 1992 at TED Ankara High School. In the same years he studied acting at Ankara State Conservatory.

He had his first acting experience with the play ‘Hamlet’ that he performed in Bilkent University. Then he acted in many plays such as ‘Severek Ayrilalim’, ‘Titrek Kizlar’, ‘Maden’ and ‘Bekleme Odasi’.

He made his debut on cinema with the film ‘Oyun Bitti’ which was released in 1997. His next film was ‘Hirsiz Polis 2’. He also acted in many other films like ‘Dus’, ‘Bir Istanbul Masali’, ‘Yakisikli Yazarlar’, ‘Vizontele Tuuba’.

His first TV series was named “Koskoca Cinayet” (Big Murder). He appeared as a guest actor in this TV series which was aired in 1996. Then he took part as a main actor in the TV series called “Esir Kalpler” (Captive Hearts), which was broadcasted by Kanal D.
