In total, the sets of Titanic cost $200 million (adjusted for inflation). You may be thinking that a large portion of this amount was spent on special effects but you are wrong. The majority of this budget went towards the construction of the Titanic replica, which was only used for 4 months. The ship was built by Fox Baja Studios in Rosarito Beach, Mexico and it is now abandoned on the coast of Baja California.
