I’m often asked why I chose to act in the film “Two Days in the Valley.” I thought it would be fun to create a blog about it as I really enjoyed acting in it and would like to share that with others. That’s all there is to say.

Thank you for your interest in my work. It’s always a pleasure to talk with people who have enjoyed the films I’ve worked on. I’m glad that you enjoyed “Two Days in the Valley,” as well.*

I was first approached by director John Herzfeld about the project when he was making other films with actors like Jeff Bridges and Charlie Sheen. He wanted me to play the role of Dale “Gallo” Putterman, a character who is known for his role in “The Godfather” but is also a member of the mafia in this film.*

It was one of my first big roles after appearing on television shows such as “ER” and “NYPD Blue.” When we first started filming Two Days in The Valley, we had no idea what it would become.*

In addition to myself and fellow actors Danny Aiello and Teri Hatcher, Two Days in The Valley also starred James Spader, Charlize Theron, Eric Stoltz and Jeff Daniels – all of whom are fantastic.*

I think that this film has some great performances by each actor involved, including myself and the others mentioned above.*

But most importantly, it has

I’m an actor. I’ve been in some big movies and a bunch of TV shows. And I’ve done some theater, too, so I can call myself an “actor.” But the truth is, most actors are unemployed most of the time, and even those of us who are working are usually just waiting for our next jobs to start.

So when you ask me how I spend my time between acting jobs, it sounds a lot more glamorous than it really is: hiking in the hills behind my house; going to plays; reading scripts; hanging out with my wife and two kids; taking long walks with friends and talking about our lives; meditating every day. But lately there hasn’t even been much time for that.

That’s because I had a gig recently—a good one—that kept me busy for weeks: filming “Two Days in the Valley,” a new movie that comes out on Friday. I was cast as the lead in it, and it was filmed here in Los Angeles over several weeks this summer. It was a big job for me because I haven’t worked much since “Big Little Lies” ended its run early last year. (

It’s a big part. The biggest part I’ve ever had in a film. And I needed to do something big because I hadn’t worked in a while.

It wasn’t that I didn’t want to work; it was just that there weren’t many roles that excited me. I got the script for “Two Days” and read it and said, “This is great.”

I called my agent and said, “Get me in on this movie.” And he did. It was just an audition. Actually, it was two auditions with Danny [Aiello], who plays my father in the film.

We clicked from the start. He’s an amazing guy, Danny Aiello. You meet him and you know why he’s been so successful all these years: he loves what he does and he does it so well.

Though he’s only been acting professionally for a decade, Hopkins was already brimming with confidence and self-assurance. Some might find it alarming to see a man in his 30s confidently telling an interviewer that he’s “the best actor in the world.” But Hopkins is not the kind of man that you would want to tell that his acting career is going nowhere.

“I’m probably the best actor in the world,” he told EW. “I think my work reflects that.”

Hopkins doesn’t mean that he’s better than anyone else, just better than everyone else; and if you were to tell him that he wasn’t, he’d be quick to set you straight. When asked what his favorite part of acting is, Hopkins replied: “Just being able to act.”

Hopkins has had a lot of success with roles in films like The Silence of the Lambs and The Remains of the Day, but as far as he’s concerned, those are just small parts of his overall career. He says that acting is what keeps him alive: “It keeps me from dying inside.”

Anthony Hopkins’s acting career has taken him from an obscure British theater to Hollywood, where he played the psychopathic serial killer Hannibal Lecter in The Silence of the Lambs.

He won the Academy Award for best actor and was nominated again for his portrayal of Richard Nixon in Nixon (1995). He also starred in The Remains of the Day.

Hopkins, who is known for his ability to play a wide range of roles, recently starred in The World’s Fastest Indian. He is currently filming a movie called The Rite. Read more about Hopkins here: A Lively Interview with Actor Anthony Hopkins
