Michael Scofield is an American actor and director who has been in the entertainment industry since 1994. He got his start as a child actor in commercials and television series before landing his breakout role as Michael Scofield on “Prison Break”.

Scofield has appeared in numerous films and television shows throughout his career. His other notable credits include “The West Wing”, “24”, “Arrow”, “Gotham” and “The Flash” among many others.

He has also appeared in several commercials for different brands including Coca-Cola and Oreo cookies.

His father, Wentworth Earl Miller II, is a lawyer and teacher and his mother, Roxannne Pallett, a special education teacher. He studied at Quaker Valley Senior High School and later attended Princeton University where he studied English Literature with a focus on the works of William Faulkner. He graduated from Princeton in 1995 with honors. Wentworth also studied acting at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute.

He first gained recognition as Prison Break began to air in 2005. His breakout role came in 2003 when he appeared as Captain Cold on The Flash. He has also appeared as Luke Morgan on another FOX series, “Prison Break” premiered in 2005 but did not fully take off until its second season which was critically acclaimed and nominated for many awards including Outstanding Drama Series at the 2007 Emmy Awards.

Michael Scofield was born June 7, 1972 in Chicago, Illinois. He is the son of David Scofield and Christina Scofield. He grew up in a very strict but loving family. As a child he was quiet and kept to himself. He liked to draw and invent things. His father was a criminal lawyer and his mother was a doctor. His parents met when they were in college and married right after college. Michael has an older brother who is three years older than him named Lincon Scofield who is also an actor.

Michael attended high school at Marist High School where he played football for the school football team as quarterback. He graduated from high school with honors with a 4.0 GPA. After high school he attended university at Stanford University where he received his bachelor’s degree in engineering and architecture with honors graduating top of his class with a 4.0 GPA again! He then went on to study at Harvard University where he received his masters degree in architecture with honors graduating top of his class with a 4.0 GPA, again!
