A blog explaining how you can be perfect to yourself, your clients and more.
“I want to be the best actor in the world”,
“I want to build a business and make millions of dollars”,
“I want to have a perfect body and become a model”,
We all have goals that we want to reach in our lives. But sometimes, even if we really try hard, we just don’t seem to get there. And that’s because we’re missing one important thing:
Perfection.
Perfection is not about being better than others. It’s about being better than you were yesterday. It’s about getting what you deserve and living without regrets.
Perfect is boring. Perfect is the enemy of better. Perfect gets in the way of improvement. Perfect makes you complacent when it’s time to make a change. Perfect sacrifices risk for the sake of security. Perfect will not push your career to new heights.
But perfect does have its place – it’s the destination, not the journey. At some point, the pursuit of perfection becomes counter productive. It slows us down, stifles our creativity and gets in the way of progress. The trick is knowing when to stop striving for perfection and start aiming for something better.
The thing that separates great artists from good ones, great companies from good ones, and great employees from good ones, is their ability to understand that there are times when they must push past their perfectionism in order to achieve their goals.
When you’re starting out, or trying something new or attempting something difficult – that’s when chasing perfection can hold you back. At these times, the idea of perfection is holding you back more than it’s helping you.
In these situations, what we need more than anything else is courage – courage to take risks and try new things, courage to face disappointment and learn from mistakes and courage to push forward even when we don’t know whether or not we’ll
I want to be the best actor in the world.
I want to be a billionaire.
I want to do what I love and never work a day in my life…
You know what? That’s not enough.
We have to be more specific.
We have to have goals. We have to have deadlines. We have to have a plan, and we have to go execute it.
The best actor in the world, is the man who can not only make you laugh and cry, but who can make you feel love and hate with him. He is the one that can open up his soul to let your mind drift into his world, and have you live with him for a time. He is the one that can play anything from Shakespeare to Willy Wonka.
The best actor in the world is Johnny Depp.
Most of the population, who are not actors, believe that acting is something anybody can do. They think of acting as just pretending to be someone else, and since all children learn how to pretend when they’re small, most people believe that acting is easy.
Nothing could be further from the truth. Of course, all actors must learn how to pretend when they’re young, but there’s so much more to it than that.
In order to become a good actor, you should first have a natural talent for acting. Like any other art form, it requires a great deal of practice and hard work in order to become really good at it. And even then, most people will not have the talent necessary to become a great actor.
The secret lies in your ability to truly identify with whatever character you are playing. You need to be able to fully internalize the character’s personality traits and emotions so that you can portray them convincingly on stage or film.
This is where most people fail miserably when they try their hand at acting. Because they are unable to identify with the various characters they play, their performances look contrived and unconvincing.
Even if you have the potential for becoming a great actor, don’t expect success overnight or even
The secret to giving the best acting performance in the world is simple. All you have to do is be so focused on your character that everything else falls away. Everything except what you’re doing at this moment. Forget about the audience, forget about the director… forget everything but the role you’re playing and how it fits into the scene.
If you can focus on your character in this way, you’ll learn to expect nothing from external sources, such as applause or other forms of recognition for your work. Instead, you’ll come to rely exclusively on your instincts and talent to guide you through every performance. This will allow you to act without fear, and give you confidence during auditions, rehearsals and performances.
As an actor, I know that when I perform my best it’s because I’m completely immersed in my role. Then, as if by magic, a spontaneous and genuine performance emerges from within me. It’s not only more rewarding for me personally; it’s also more enjoyable for everyone else involved too!
There is a lot of good that the best actor in the world can do. It’s actually how I got started. My father was a stage actor, and then a radio personality, and he also had a job by day. He did that for years because it was his vocation, but he also did it to put food on our table.
I remember being very young, and my father coming home from work and taking off his shoes in the living room. And he would sit there with his stocking feet, and he would just sit there, occasionally scratching his head or tapping his foot on the floor. Initially, it felt like an intrusion into our life as kids. But I soon realized that if my dad didn’t have time to perform, we wouldn’t have had any money.
The world was moving quickly around us—from war to peace to economic depression—and we were just getting by. So when I finally got my own stage career, I decided that I could use my time to help people and help them improve their lives too. As an actor you can be so many things to people: a friend, a teacher, a coach or mentor. You can make them feel better about themselves and that makes you happy too.”
