Actor Sophie Turner will be playing the role of Sansa Stark in the upcoming “Game of Thrones” movie.
Sansa’s part is said to be a very brief one, but she will be featured prominently in the opening scene.
Turner was previously considered for the role of Sansa, but her first audition tape was not well received by showrunners.
A new report claims that Sansa Stark will indeed star in the upcoming Game of Thrones movie, which has yet to be officially announced by HBO.
According to a new report from MovieWeb, actress Sophie Turner is set to reprise her role as Sansa Stark in the Game of Thrones movie.
Turner has played Sansa on the hit HBO series since 2011, and has become a fan-favorite character on the show. She has been highly praised for her portrayal of the young Stark girl, who started out as a naive, somewhat spoiled child and became one of the most powerful players on the board by season 7.
The report goes on to claim that Sansa will have a very short part in the film and that it will mostly consist of an opening scene that serves as a recap of what has happened with all of the characters over seven seasons.
The report also adds that Turner was
Sophie Turner aka Sansa Stark from “Game of Thrones” is set to star in a new movie based on the hit HBO series. Turner will star as Arya Stark and join co-stars Kit Harington, Emilia Clarke, and Peter Dinklage who will reprise their roles as Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen and Tyrion Lannister respectively. The movie will be directed by Benioff and Weiss.
HBO has not officially announced a release date for the film but the show’s producers have said they plan to start filming in June.
HBO has not yet released any information on the plot or what characters will be returning.
Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa Stark on HBO’s “Game of Thrones,” said that she would be interested in starring in a movie based on the show.
Although she hasn’t seen anything about a movie, she thinks that it would be amazing.
“I’d love to do a ‘Game of Thrones’ movie, or mini-series or something like that,” Turner told Marie Claire magazine. “The books have so much great content in them, so I think it would be cool to do a spin-off from one of the books.”
There are plenty of actors and actresses who are already waiting for HBO to give the go ahead. “We’re all ready to jump on board with it if they want us,” Turner said.
As always, HBO still has not confirmed any of this. The network hasn’t announced anything about a spin-off or movie yet.
The “Game of Thrones” movie is already in the works, and will be released next year. The movie is based on the book of the same name and has already been adapted for television by HBO.
The film will be directed by David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, who directed “Game of Thrones” on HBO. The film is set to be released in 2019, with a release date of April 26, 2020. The movie will be produced by Benioff, Weiss and showrunners George R.R. Martin and David Benioff.
The movie will star Sophie Turner as Sansa Stark, Lena Headey as Cersei Lannister, Maisie Williams as Arya Stark and Gwendoline Christie as Brienne Tarth. It’s a big departure from the TV show, which was based on the books of the same name. The movie is also expected to feature a new cast that includes Emilia Clarke as Daenerys Targaryen and Peter Dinklage as Tyrion Lannister.
The film is being written by Benioff, Weiss and Martin, who are both writers on the show and have written the script for HBO’s “Game of Thrones” series. The film will also include original music
Anyone who has read the books should know Sansa Stark is not a central character. She’s only in the first book, and her role isn’t really significant. However, we do get to see a lot of her life in Westeros as she deals with the murder of her father and the invasion of King’s Landing. In the second season of Game of Thrones, Sansa is taken captive by Theon Greyjoy, who takes her to his home on the Iron Islands.
She never returns to Winterfell or even King’s Landing. It seems likely that this will change in Season 3, as Theon has been seen near Winterfell in some new photos from set.
If you’re wondering what happened to Sansa Stark after she left Westeros, check out “Game of Thrones: Where Are They Now?” I’ve put together a list of some of the most prominent characters on the show. (Spoiler alert: Some characters’ stories ended at the end of season two.)
The list includes: Arya Stark (Sophie Turner) – traveled across Westeros with Yoren and was later captured by Tywin Lannister; Brienne of Tarth (Rory McCann) – traveled across Westeros with Catelyn Stark; Davos Seaw
Sophie Turner has played the role of Sansa Stark since the beginning of Game of Thrones in 2011, and she has grown up with the character.
Sansa, however, is supposed to be 15 years old in the fourth season. She’s not a child anymore. But for Sophie, who turns 20 this month, that’s OK.
“I feel like it’s been really nice because I’ve grown up with her as well,” Turner tells The Hollywood Reporter. “I’m also growing up on screen with her and I think that’s kind of cool.”
Turner had only acted in school plays before landing the role of Sansa, who goes from a pampered princess to a traumatized prisoner at the hands of the Lannisters, then becomes a cunning and conniving young woman of House Stark.
“When we first started filming Game of Thrones I was only 13, so it was my first time ever acting professionally,” Turner says. “For me it was kind of just an amazing experience because there were no hard parts about it. I was just learning everything as I went along.”
It hasn’t always been easy for Sansa, but Turner says she loves playing such a complex character whose story arc has taken many
