He went to Rockport High School and graduated with honors from there in 1987. After graduating from high school he attended the University of Southern California where he studied acting. He graduated from the University of Southern California in 1991. While attending college at USC Matthew Perry was in several plays and acted as a member of the Playwrights Workshop at USC.
