Michael J. Fox (Marty McFly) – Fox was only 18 when he accepted the role in Back to the Future, and was only 23 when he shot the third film. He is best known for his portrayal of Alex P. Keaton in the 80’s series, “Family Ties” as well as other films like “Teen Wolf”, “Casualties of War” and “Doc Hollywood”. In 1991 he received an Emmy award for his role in NBC’s comedy, “Spin City”, but left the show in 2000 after being diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease.

Christopher Lloyd (Doctor Emmett L. Brown) – Lloyd played Reverend Jim on “Taxi” which is probably his most well-known role. He also appeared in memorable films like “One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest” and has recently appeared in the TV movie, “The Addams Family Reunion”.

Lea Thompson (Lorraine Baines McFly) – Thompson is best known for her role as Caroline Duffy on ABC’s sitcom, “Caroline in the City”. She has also appeared in a variety of films including “Jaws 3-D”, “All The Right Moves”, and Howard The Duck”.

Back to the Future (1985)

Michael J. Fox as Marty McFly: An American high school student who accidentally travels back in time from 1985 to 1955 and has to make sure his parents fall in love to get back to the future.

Christopher Lloyd as Emmett “Doc” Brown: A mad scientist who builds a time machine out of a DeLorean sports car. He is Marty’s friend and mentor and helps him return to the future.

Lea Thompson as Lorraine Baines: The mother of George and Dave, and the wife of George McFly. In 1955, she meets Marty when he is sent back in time from 1985, where he assists her in falling in love with George. She also appears briefly in 1885 as Marty’s great-great grandmother Maggie McFly.

Thomas F. Wilson as Biff Tannen: Lorraine’s boyfriend and bully, who constantly harasses both George and Marty throughout the trilogy (By 1955, he has become Lorraine’s husband). In 1955, he is portrayed as a brash young man, while in 1985 he is portrayed as an aggressive entrepreneur who rules over Hill Valley with an iron fist until Marty changes events by going back in time after being thrown back into 1985 by the lightning
