The Harry Potter franchise is about to get new life, thanks to the upcoming film Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, which will be released in fall 2016. While there are plenty of actors from the original Harry Potter films who have gone on to have successful careers, it would also be great to see a few familiar faces in the new movie. Here are 11 Harry Potter actors that should star in the new Fantastic Beasts.
Helena Bonham Carter (Bellatrix Lestrange) – Bonham Carter has been surprisingly quiet since her last Harry Potter film, but she’s a great actress who could bring something special to the role of Bellatrix Lestrange. She would also bring some humor and levity to the character, which would make the whole film more enjoyable.
Bonham Carter has never really shied away from playing tough characters, so she should be able to fit right into the role of Bellatrix Lestrange. The only problem might come if she wants too many changes made to her character, as that could make things difficult for her.
Imelda Staunton (Dolores Umbridge) – Imelda Staunton was brilliant as Dolores Umbridge in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, and she
While the idea of a Fantastic Beasts film is exciting, we can’t help but wonder if a Harry Potter spin-off is really necessary. However, as fans of the series, we’re willing to give it a chance. And with Rowling at the helm and Yates directing, we’re feeling pretty confident that it will be great.
In honor of the upcoming film, here are 11 Harry Potter actors that should star in the new Fantastic Beasts.
1. Helena Bonham Carter as Bellatrix Lestrange
Helena Bonham Carter was perfect as Bellatrix Lestrange in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. She was so convincing as an evil witch that it’s hard to imagine anyone else playing the role.
2. Alan Rickman as Severus Snape
While Alan Rickman has been in many movies since his days on Harry Potter, he still hasn’t quite found another role as iconic as Severus Snape. We’d love to see him return to the wizarding world!
The Harry Potter film series has been wildly successful, but what is next for the actors in this phenomenon? Are they going to fade away into obscurity or are they going to continue on in their acting careers and rise to stardom?
Well, if you want to be technical about it, the actors really aren’t that famous. While there are a few who have made it big, others have faded away or gone on to do smaller roles. However, that doesn’t mean that these actors won’t make an appearance in the Harry Potter reboot.
If you’re looking for a list of actors who have appeared in the movies, here is one. Most of them made the cut based solely on their performances and not because they were anything special.
One of the first actors in Harry Potter who will be featured in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is Jason Isaacs. He played Lucius Malfoy and was arguably one of the best actors in the film. He has also been cast as Gellert Grindelwald in Fantastic Beasts, which means he will have some screen time as well.
Another actor who will be joining Isaacs is John Hurt. He will be playing the role of Professor Albus Dumbledore and is expected to bring a lot of depth and charisma
1. Warwick Davis
Warwick Davis, who plays the role of Griphook in the Harry Potter films, has said he would love to be included in the new film series”. I’d love to. I think it would be great fun to be involved but we’ll just have to wait and see,” Davis told Entertainment Weekly.
2. Evanna Lynch
Evanna Lynch, who played Luna Lovegood, said she was very excited about the new films and would also like to be included as she “loves” J K Rowling. “I love her so much β she’s so supportive of me,” Lynch told E! News at the Harry Potter exhibition in New York. “I just hope that I get a chance to meet her again! It’s incredible what she’s doing with Fantastic Beasts.”
3. Tom Felton
Tom Felton, who played Draco Malfoy in the films, recently spoke about his excitement for the new film series and said he hoped to make a cameo appearance. “I’m always up for a little bit of mischief so it would be nice to have some kind of cameo where I can sneak into the background with my wand at the ready,” Felton told Entertainment Weekly.
4. Bonnie Wright
Bonnie Wright has said she
So far, there hasn’t been any news about Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. We are all eagerly awaiting the release of this movie, which is set to come out in 2016, but we’re still unsure of which actors will be starring in it. But I have a few ideas.
Personally, I think that Emma Watson and Rupert Grint would make great additions to the cast. They both starred in Harry Potter, which is why they are on this list, but they also each have a unique way of portraying their characters.
And if you want a more mature take on Dumbledore, Matthew Lewis could play him. He’s grown up quite a bit since his last appearance as Neville Longbottom. Plus, he’s actually got great acting skills and it would be interesting to see him take on a role like Dumbledore’s.
So what do you think? Who do you want to see in Fantastic Beasts?
Bellatrix Lestrange is one of the most scary characters in Harry Potter. She was the head of the Dark Lord’s most feared supporters and was played by Helena Bonham Carter in the films. The actress has admitted that she wants to reprise her role as Bellatrix in the new film, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
Bonham Carter played a werewolf in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, so it would be interesting to see her play another animal. She told The Sun: “I hope I can be a part of it because it would be lovely to go back to that world. It was such a huge part of my life.”
Bonham Carter is best known for playing Queen Elizabeth II in The King’s Speech and Professor Sprout in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.
Bellatrix Lestrange was the most deranged and dangerous of Voldemort’s followers, so it makes sense that Helena Bonham Carter would take the role.
Bonham Carter has had dozens of acting roles in her career, but she’s probably most well-known for her parts in the Harry Potter and Alice in Wonderland movies (not to mention being married to director Tim Burton).
If you’re going to stay true to Bellatrix’s character and personality, then Bonham Carter is definitely the way to go.
“It would be fun,” Bonham Carter told Entertainment Weekly. “I love being bad.”
