Well the first thing they have in common is that they are all actors or actresses. This may seem like stating the obvious, but it’s something many people forget. These people didn’t just get their start in Hollywood, they also got their start on stage. Now, this makes sense because acting is a form of art that requires a lot of talent and a lot of practice to be truly great at it.
The second thing that many famous Christian actors share is that they are very passionate about acting and love it for more than just the money or fame. Many of them actually enjoy acting so much that they often do it for free if asked by a friend or family member. Actors like this tend to be more likely to take roles that pay less than other famous actors but are still great roles because they love acting and want to keep doing it as long as they can.

I was drawn to writing this post after reading an article in The Week entitled “How all the ‘God’s Not Dead’ movies are alike” that I stumbled upon. I have been wanting to write a blog around all the commonalities of famous Christian actors, so it is with great excitement that I read the article and found out about all these movies that are coming out about “the struggles of Christian actors in Hollywood.”
The first movie, God’s Not Dead (2014), made $62.6 million on a budget of only $2 million, which has turned it into a rather lucrative franchise.
The second movie, God’s Not Dead 2, hits theaters this Friday and features Melissa Joan Hart playing a teacher who is sued for quoting the Bible in class.

It features lines like: “You’re going to lose your freedom.” “You’re going to get fired.” “Her life will be ruined.” “They’re trying to silence me.”
There’s even one scene with a guy saying he’s an atheist who has written a book called God’s Not Dead. He says: “We can’t allow this kind of Christianity to flourish on college campuses. It will be the end of our country as we know it.”
Christian actors have been around Hollywood for a long time. Some of these actors found fame and fortune, while others have been working hard to break into the scene. Whatever your case may be, it is important to share what you have in common with these talented individuals.
The first point of commonality between all Christian actors is their faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. It is the foundation of their lives and their careers. It is also their greatest secret to finding success in the industry.

It has been said that Hollywood is a liberal place, but it is really about the bottom line. If a person is talented and does not present any problems on set, then they will get work.
What do these famous Christian actors share in common? They know the Lord and He knows them, they have talent and they have kept themselves out of trouble. If a person can do these three things, then they will be successful no matter what career they choose to pursue. The Bible states that if you seek first the Kingdom of God, then everything else will be added unto you.
Christian actors may seem like rare creatures, as many actors in Hollywood are not known for their religious beliefs. However, many of the most famous Christian actors in Hollywood were deeply committed to their faith. Whether it is faith based movies or TV shows and movies that have nothing to do with religion, these Christian actors have found success while maintaining their faith in God.
