What a legend George McFly was. In this blog, I will talk about the ten things I learned while working with him.
1) George McFly once did a movie with Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd
2) It was called Back To The Future
3) There were two sequels
4) He played Marty’s dad in all three movies
5) He had an affair with Lea Thompson in Back To The Future Part 2
6) He was shot by Biff Tannen in Back To The Future Part 3
7) In Back To The Future Part 3 he was a cowboy
8) He also did a movie called My Science Project with John Stockwell and Fisher Stevens
9) It came out in 1985 and is about time travel, quantum physics, and high school. Sound familiar?
10) George McFly is played by Crispin Glover
When you think about actors who have made their mark on history, a few names probably pop into your mind: George Clooney, JLaw, and of course, the one and only George McFly.
But what was it like to work with the Back to the Future legend? And how did he get the role in the first place? I spoke to three people who worked with McFly to find out more. Here’s what they had to say:
George was a great listener.
I remember when we were filming Back To The Future, George had an idea for a scene. But he didn’t just pitch it to me and then leave; he asked my opinion on how it would make me feel as an actor, and whether I thought it would make sense in the context of the scene. It’s very rare that you find a male actor who’s so considerate.
George was always up for a laugh.
One time we were shooting on set and we spotted a loose wire hanging from the ceiling. Just for fun, I decided to grab hold of it and throw myself across the room, pretending I’d been electrocuted. But as soon as I touched that wire…boom! I really did get electrocuted! I was sent flying
When you think of George McFly, you probably think of a lovable and geeky character that made the Back to the Future movies unforgettable. While he was an amazing actor, he was also an amazing person. I am very fortunate to have worked with him in more ways than one, and have some great memories of our time together.
1.) He had an incredible sense of style.
He knew exactly what to wear that would make him look good no matter what the occasion was. He always pulled it off with ease, even when he needed to wear a suit with jeans or his usual plaid pants and suspenders. Even now I still can’t believe how well he carried himself around town without ever looking like someone who didn’t belong there at all.
2.) He could be serious when need be.
George McFly knew how important it was for everyone else on set too, so he made sure they were taken care of first before himself. His kindness extended far beyond just us actors – even those who worked behind scenes or even just visited him whenever they could during filming were treated like family by him too!
3.) He had a way with words that would light up any room or situation:
When George McFly was diagnosed with terminal cancer, he fought like a champion. The most important thing to know about the man is that he was a family man. He cared more about his family than anything else in the world. His legacy will live on in those who loved him: his children and grandchildren, his wife of 45 years, and everyone who’s life he touched.
I’ve never met anyone as kind, generous and hardworking as George. It was an honor to work with him. These are just some things I learned from my time working with this incredible actor.
1. He always had time for fans
George knew how important fans were to him, and he prioritized their happiness above all else.
2. He made everyone feel like a friend
Even if you didn’t know George well, it felt like you did because of his warm personality and charm. He knew how to make people feel at ease around him and feel comfortable talking about whatever they wanted to talk about whether it be work or personal struggles or everyday things that matter in life such as toys or food.
3. His kindness went beyond his own life
George would do anything for others even if it meant sacrificing what he needed most: love and affection from those
It’s been 30 years since the movie “Back to the Future” was released, but for Thomas F. Wilson, who played bully Biff Tannen in all three movies, it doesn’t feel like it.
“It doesn’t seem like 30 years have gone by,” he said. “It seems like a shorter amount of time because I think we were working on [the films] for so long, and we are still doing these conventions.”
And that is why the 55-year-old actor is still in the business today — he loves meeting fans and hearing their stories. In fact, he even has his own blog where he writes about what it was like working with George McFly actor Crispin Glover.
And since it has been so long since the last film was released, Wilson recently went back and watched all three movies, which inspired him to write another blog post about his experience working with George McFly actor Crispin Glover.
The A.V. Club recently had a chance to interview Wilson about his work on the films as well as some other projects he is currently working on at various stages of production or post-production (such as “Bones: The
If you’re a fan of the Back to the Future trilogy, you may have heard that Crispin Glover, who played George McFly in the first film, didn’t reprise his role for Back to the Future II and III.
This is true.
But what you may not know is that he was replaced by Jeffrey Weissman, who played George in the later films. There’s a lot of confusion about this, and even one of my own friends has asked me if it was really me or just some guy made up to look like Crispin Glover playing George McFly.
In fact, because there was some heated legal action between Universal Pictures and Crispin over using him and not him, it got so bad that they actually had to make a law saying they couldn’t do stuff like that anymore.
So I’m here today to clear up some misconceptions about what happened and give you a peek behind the scenes at how fun it was working with such an incredible actor as Michael J Fox (Marty McFly).
George McFly actor: Crispin Glover, who starred as George McFly in Back to the Future, is one of the most intriguing actors in Hollywood. The son of a musician and an actress, he started his acting career at 5 years old. He has since become a cult legend for his roles in films such as Charlie’s Angels, Willard, and Alice in Wonderland.
If you have heard of him, you probably know that he’s a talented actor who has played some great roles over the course of his career. But did you know that he also has a lot of weird quirks?
1. He’s very protective of his image.
2. He can be a bit extreme in his opinions.
3. He has an addiction to lip balms and chapsticks.
4. His favorite thing about himself is his hands; he thinks they’re gorgeous!
