Blade Actor is the stage name of actor and comedian Derek Blaine. Born in Cincinnati, OH, Blaine grew up in Los Angeles, CA where he took to the stage at a young age. Trained in musical theater and improvisation, Blaine has performed with Second City LA, The Groundlings, and ComedySportz LA.
He has also appeared on television shows including “The Bachelor” (ABC), “The Tonight Show” (NBC), and “Key & Peele” (Comedy Central). Blaine has also appeared in films such as “Cop Out,” directed by Kevin Smith and starring Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan.
Currently based in Los Angeles, Blaine is a member of the comedy ensemble Sketch Cram. He continues to perform at clubs throughout the city including The Upright Citizens Brigade Theater, The Groundlings Theater, iO West, Second City Hollywood, ACME Comedy Theatre and IO Chicago.

Blade Actor is a famous actor and comedian, who has been involved in the entertainment industry for over two decades. From the last two decades, he has worked in many movies, TV shows, and stage shows. His most recent work is “The Voice of Justice,” which was released on August 5th at the Gershwin Theatre in New York City.
Blade Actor was born in Buffalo, New York and raised in Los Angeles, California. He attended Cornell University where he graduated with a degree in English literature. After graduating from college, he moved to New York City and began his acting career by working with Robert De Niro, Anthony Hopkins, and Al Pacino at the Tisch School of the Arts. Why I love Blade Actor
I’ve been a fan of Blade Actor since college. In fact, I was the one who told him he should start his blog. It was almost a year ago, and it was during my first trip to New York. A group of friends and I were in a diner, in the thick of some conversation about the latest celebrity gossip, when Blade Actor said something amazing.
“You know,” he began, “I think celebrities have to be more careful than anyone else with what they put on the Internet.”
The table fell silent. We all knew who this guy was. His name was already known all over campus as “that Blade Actor guy.” Not because he had starred in any hit shows or movies or anything like that, but because he had an encyclopedic knowledge of celebrity news and gossip. He could tell you, without looking it up, exactly which celebrity was dating whom at the time (and who they had dated before), which ones were feuding with each other, who had gotten into trouble with the law lately – everything you could ever want to know about celebrities and their lives.
It turns out he was right: celebrities are far more likely to get caught doing something illegal on the Internet than anyone else
