Actor/writer/director/producer William Gleeson is multi-talented. He was born in San Francisco and graduated from Lowell High School. He has won three Emmy Awards for his acting in the series “Thieves”, “The Deep End of The Ocean” and “JAG”. He has appeared in over seventy TV shows, including the recurring role of Max on “Ally McBeal”, and the movies “Lethal Weapon 4”, “Hot Shots”, “Hot Shots 2”, and “Catch Me If You Can”. He is also a writer and director, having written the pilot episode for JAG, as well as various episodes of CSI: Miami, CSI: NY, and NCIS: Los Angeles. His directing credits include episodes of JAG, Bones, Ghost Whisperer, and Criminal Minds.
What is he working on now? His current projects include an action movie entitled “The Squad”, which stars Tom Cruise as a Navy SEAL who battles terrorists. It is a project that he has been working on for several years now, but there are some obstacles to make it happen. His other projects include a comedy called “A Dog’s Life”, which will star Rob Schneider as a dog trainer who finds himself in trouble when his dog
William Gleeson is a filmmaker who has worked on many projects and films in the industry. His work has been recognized among peers and he is one of the most sought after filmmakers in the industry today.
It is a rough day in paradise. I am driving up the west coast of Ireland, on the edge of Galway Bay, and it is raining. A cold November rain with a strong wind behind it. The ocean is gray and empty, there is no one on the beach, no dogs running about, no children trying to fly kites into this stiff gale. The road runs right along the water’s edge and then stops at the beginning of a narrow peninsula known as “the Burren,” which means “rocky place” in Gaelic.
It’s a strange landscape: enormous granite boulders as big as houses are scattered over the countryside like giant marbles that have been left by some mischievous child after a game of toss-and-catch. It looks like what you would get if you took all the rocks from Stonehenge, put them in a blender and then sprinkled the contents on a hillside.
I am here to visit my friend William Gleeson, who lives on top of one of these hills. At least I think he lives here; I don’t really know for sure because he isn’t home yet — but his car is parked in front of his house with its trunk open so I assume he’s here somewhere.
I am a filmmaker and actor. I’ve been acting for a long time now and am happy to be doing what I love.
I have worked on movies such as The Deer Hunter, The Deer Hunter II, The Deer Hunter III, and The Deer Hunter IV.
I have also worked on TV shows including the HBO series Game of Thrones (which I was a writer/producer for) and the FX series Fargo (which I was co-writer/producer of).
I’ve also done voiceover work in video games including Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas, which I’m really proud of because their voices are so unique.
