What I have been up to in 2017:
I started off the year by directing and co-writing a short film called, “Our Way Home”. The film was shot in January and went on to play at over 20 festivals and won some awards. It’s now available on Vimeo for whoever wants to watch it. The link is below.
After that I was back in the audition room trying to get some work. I did get some work, but it was mostly small stuff. In April I ended up going back to the U.K. for a few weeks to shoot another short film that I had written called, “The Last Post”. That film will be out later this year and will hopefully play at a few festivals too. I’m currently editing it together in my free time and when I can afford an editor to help me finish it!
In May I got cast as one of the leads in a pilot called, “What’s Wrong With Me?” which was directed/created by Tim Harper who has produced/directed two other pilots that have gone on to be picked up by networks (one being NBC). We shot that in late May/early June and are currently waiting for the network decision. It was a great role with some fantastic actors so fingers
As a newlywed and house-owner, I have been busy in 2017. My wife and I have been together for over 9 years but only recently became husband and wife. Our wedding was beautiful, and we couldn’t be happier to be married to each other. We are also super excited to get our own TV show on HGTV called “Windy City Rehab”. It will air in 2018. The show will follow us as we flip houses in Chicago. Stay tuned!
After a busy year of work, I am taking some time to recharge and spend time with my family.
I was in India for the month of December and now I am off to Europe (Italy and Czech Republic).
Happy new year!
I started 2017 with an ambitious plan to finish the next draft of my screenplay by the end of January. I figured that all I needed was a little discipline and I could get it done because the script was already about 80% there.
The first week went fairly well and then my niece got sick and ended up in the hospital for over a month. We were all worried she might not make it and I stopped working on my script so I could be there for my family, which is what you do when someone you love is sick. When she finally recovered things were kind of hectic for a while and then before I knew it, three months had passed.
I decided to shelve the script for now because it needed some major rewrites anyway and instead, focus on getting myself back into shape physically. I’m in my 50’s now so this is harder than it used to be but I’ve always enjoyed being active and now that my niece is doing better, I have more time on my hands so why not? It’s never too late to get back in shape right?
I joined a gym near my house and made some friends who keep me motivated which is great too. This new routine has really helped me clear my head and get focused again. So
Hello everyone,
I am here for two reasons. First, I would like to thank all of you for the support you have given me. Second, I want to let you know what has been going on in my world.
After much thought and deliberation, I have made a very personal decision to leave Prison Break at the end of this season. As sad as it sounds, it is a beautiful and tough decision at the same time because I truly believe that it is time to move on and spread my wing into other directions. The past four years have been an unbelievable experience that I will treasure forever. I owe everything to FOX and especially to all of you, the fans, for your incredible love and loyalty. You have no idea how much you guys have helped me through some dark days. Thank you so much.
Michael Scofield
Hello, my name is Michael Scofield.
This is my story.
I was born in 1972, at a military base in Panama City, Florida. I grew up mostly in Houston, Texas, but we moved around a lot too. My father, who died when I was twelve years old, was a naval officer who had served in Vietnam. He was very strict and disciplined. My mother remarried when I was fourteen, and my stepfather helped me through high school and college.
I am married to Sara Tancredi, and we have two children: LJ Burrows Junior (LJ), named after his grandfather Lincoln Burrows, and the late Michael Scofield Junior (Mike).
Lincoln Burrows is my older brother. He was sentenced to death for the murder of the Vice President’s brother. However, he is innocent and I have vowed to prove it by getting him out of prison with the help of our younger brother Lincoln Jr., whom we call LJ for short.
I graduated from Stanford University with honors majoring in Engineering Science (BSc) before obtaining a Masters Degree (MSc) at MIT where I studied aerospace engineering with an emphasis on propulsion systems design development testing analysis and evaluation techniques (MSc).
