Top Five Actors From 80s and 90s Movies That Are Still Killing It
We often hear in the news that movie stars from the 80s and 90s are on the decline. And while it’s true that some have fallen off, there are still a number of actors who are still working hard to entertain us. Here is my list of top five actors from those eras:
Michael J. Fox
Many people don’t realize that Fox is still working as an actor. He recently had a guest spot on “The Good Wife” that was well-received by critics. In addition, he continues to work as a producer. One of his most successful projects has been his own sitcom, “Spin City,” which aired for six seasons in the early 2000s.
Alec Baldwin
Baldwin has one of the most distinctive voices in film and television, and he’s been making good use of it lately on “30 Rock.” He also had a memorable role in the acclaimed film “It’s Complicated,” which earned him his eighth Golden Globe nomination.
Tom Hanks
Hanks has been busy as ever since his appearance in “You’ve Got Mail” over 10 years ago. He continues to be a commanding presence on screen, whether he’s
While most 80s and 90s actors have faded into the obscurity of old age or early death, some continue to thrive by making excellent career choices. Below is a list of five veteran actors who are still going strong in their various careers.
Samuel L. Jackson
Samuel L. Jackson’s filmography reads like a list of culturally-significant films from the past twenty years. Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, Unbreakable, The Incredibles…the list goes on and on. When it comes to longevity in the movie industry, Samuel L. Jackson knows how to beat the game.
Tina Fey
Tina Fey’s first major role was as a writer for Saturday Night Live in the 1990s. Since then, she has starred in hit movies like Mean Girls and Baby Mama, created her own TV show 30 Rock, and written the book BossyPants—all while raising two children with her husband Jeff Richmond.
John Goodman
While John Goodman took a few years off from acting in the late 2000s to focus on losing weight and taking care of his health, he has returned to acting with a vengeance! Last year he had four separate film releases and reprised his role as Dan Conner on the ABC reboot of Roseanne alongside
One of the great things about having so many classic films from the 80s and 90s being available on Netflix, Hulu, and other streaming services is that it provides you with a great opportunity to reconnect with your favorite actors from those decades. The collective cast of these classic films was so impressive that it’s hard to believe that the majority of them are no longer acting. But there are some actors from the 80s and 90s who have managed to age gracefully into their careers and are still killing it in Hollywood today. Below is a list of five actors from classic 80s/90s movies who are still doing great work today.
1. Tom Hanks
2. Michael J Fox
3. Mel Gibson
4. Patrick Stewart
5. Daniel Day-Lewis
Actors are a funny breed. They have a reputation for being temperamental and occasionally unprofessional. But there are a few who have kept their acting skill alive over the years and continue to work in the industry. Here are five that are still going strong.
Michael J Fox
As any fan of 80s movies will tell you, Michael J Fox is one of the most iconic actors of his generation. He got his start in television on the sitcom Family Ties and went on to star in such classics as Back to the Future, Teen Wolf, and The Secret of My Success.
In 1991, he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. But that didn’t stop him from pursuing his career. He continued acting in both film and television until 2000 when he decided to focus more of his time on philanthropy. In 2010, he made a triumphant return to television with the show The Michael J Fox Show which ran for two seasons before being canceled.
Fox also continues to make appearances on various shows and had a guest role on Netflix’s The Good Place last year.
The 1980s and 1990s were a great time for movies. We all have our favourites: some of us are diehard Back to the Future fans, others will forever love The Princess Bride, and still more of us can’t get enough of Top Gun.
But whatever our favourite 80s or 90s movie, there’s one thing we can all agree on: they had great actors. While there are plenty of talented actors working today, none of them seem to be quite as awesome as those from the 80s and 90s.
So who are these amazing actors? Well, here’s a look at five of the very best that still seem to be going strong with their respective careers. If you doubt this list, just check out their IMDB profiles for yourself!
1. Tom Cruise
Tom Cruise is probably one of the most well-known action stars from the 80s and 90s. He starred in many hit movies during this era, including Top Gun (1986), Rain Man (1988), Born on the Fourth of July (1989), Days of Thunder (1990), A Few Good Men (1992), The Firm (1993), Interview with the Vampire (1994), Mission Impossible (1996) and Jerry Maguire (1996).
He’s still making
The 1980s and 1990s were absolutely filled with some of the most talented actors in Hollywood history. During their heydays, many of these actors were among the most famous on the planet, but like most things in life, their careers have slowed down with age. But unlike most people, they haven’t stopped working altogether. Here are five veteran actors who’s careers have spanned decades, and still continue to be successful today.
1. Michael J. Fox
2. Christopher Lloyd
3. Robert Downey Jr.
4. Paul Rudd
5. Bill Murray
