Canadian Actors and Who they’ve Played: A blog about famous Canadian actors and the movies/shows they’ve starred in.

I’m a huge fan of movies and television, so I thought it would be cool to make a blog that focuses on some of Canada’s top actors and actresses, and their most popular roles. I’ll also write about the history behind their careers, as well as how they were discovered.

It will be informative and fun to read, but also professional in tone.

This blog will appeal to people who are interested in celebrities, as well as those who have an interest in acting or entertainment in general. It will also appeal to other Canadians who take pride in their country!

Actors are given their chance to shine when they are on stage and in the spotlight. When it comes to Canadian actors, there is a plethora of talent that come from the great white north. These Canadian actors have made names for themselves in Hollywood and around the world. Check out this list of top Canadian actors and who they’ve played.

1. Ryan Gosling – The famous actor is known for being a heartthrob in movies like The Notebook, Crazy Stupid Love, and La La Land.

2. Jim Carrey – The stand-up comedian turned actor is known for his roles in Dumb and Dumber, Ace Ventura Pet Detective, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Truman Show and many more.

3. Seth Rogen – The Canadian actor has had roles in Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, Knocked Up, Superbad, This Is the End and many other movies/shows he has appeared in as an actor or producer.

4. Michael J Fox – Known for his role as Marty McFly in the Back to the Future trilogy as well as Alex P Keaton on Family Ties, Michael J Fox is one of Canada’s most beloved actors.

Mike Myers – Born in Scarborough, Ontario, Canada on May 25th 1963, Mike Myers has had an incredibly successful career in both acting and screenwriting (he’s even won an Emmy for screenwriting!). Some of his most well-known movies include Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery (1997), Wayne’s World (1992) and Shrek 2 (2004).

Ellen Page – Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada on February 21st 1987, Ellen Page is relatively new to the acting world but has already made a name for herself. She has won numerous awards including an Academy Award nomination for her role in Juno (2007). Other notable movies include Inception (2010), Whip It (2009) and Hard Candy (2005).

We live in a world where there are a lot of really famous actors, but a lot of them aren’t Canadian. It seems like most of the actors that you see in Hollywood movies and shows aren’t even from Canada. They’re from the United States or England or Australia or Japan or even Iceland. There are a ton of really famous Canadian actors, but you might not realize it because they often play characters with American accents.

So today I want to highlight some well-known Canadian actors and talk about the characters they played on TV and in movies. The first actor I want to talk about is Ellen Page, who was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She’s been in a bunch of movies, but she’s probably best known for starring as Juno in the movie Juno. In that movie she plays Juno MacGuff, who gets pregnant when she’s only 16 years old. Juno then decides to have the baby and give it up for adoption to a nice married couple played by Jennifer Garner and Jason Bateman.

There are many famous faces that we know and love who have come from across our northern border. Some of them have used their talents to prove they’re more than just “Canadians”, but people with real talent.

Let’s start with some of the most famous:

Born in 1980, Ryan Thomas Gosling is an actor, musician and director. He started his career on the Mickey Mouse Club and was later featured on the teen drama Young Hercules (1998-1999), featuring another rising star, Kevin Sorbo. Gosling gained popularity in 2004 with his role as a drug-addicted high school teacher in Half Nelson. He also played opposite Anthony Hopkins and Josh Brolin in the 2007 film In the Valley of Elah. Gosling has won several awards throughout his career including Golden Globe nominations for Best Actor in Crazy Stupid Love and The Ides of March as well as being nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actor in La La Land.

Rachel McAdams was born 1979 in Ontario, Canada. She first gained recognition from playing Regina George in Mean Girls, alongside Lindsay Lohan and Amanda Seyfried. Since then she has starred alongside Ryan Gosling in The Notebook (2004), Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn in Wedding Cras
