I created this blog in 2010 as a way to share my appreciation for the men and women who bring life to our favorite characters on daytime television. I’m not going to lie – I’m a sucker for soaps (and have been since I was eight), and have seen some of my favorites come and go over the years, but that doesn’t stop me from loving them even more than I did before.

My goal for this blog is simple: to share the love of these actors with other fans and show everyone how much we really do appreciate them. Whether it’s a small role or a big one, there are some people who are just meant for soaps – even if it’s only for a little while. And hey, if you don’t like it, that’s fine too – but please don’t ruin it for others who do enjoy it! 🙂

The soap opera is a timeless telltale of daytime drama. Soap stars are unique and special people who work extremely hard and spend many hours to create the magic that we see each days. The following are the top 9 reasons why we love daytime actors:

9) Some of them have gone on to do great things after leaving daytime, but they will always be “our”.

Being a daytime actor is not a glamorous job, and it’s certainly not easy. Long hours, quick dialogue and an unforgiving schedule can make the life of a soap star one of the most difficult in Hollywood.

Daytime actors face many challenges on a daily basis. Some are more successful than others at handling the pressure, but all of them should be recognized for the hard work they put into their craft.

Some are able to make the transition from daytime to primetime, while others are happy to spend their entire acting career in daytime TV. Whichever path they choose, soap fans love them all! Here are the top 9 reasons why we love our favorite daytime actors:

They are the ones that you love and hate on screen, they are the ones that make you laugh, cry and scream at your television sets. They are the ones who create these unforgettable characters that we keep coming back to see every day. And they are the reason behind why we love to watch daytime television.

So today we take a look at top nine reasons why we love daytime actors and actresses.

1. They are gorgeous – I mean come on now, who doesn’t love a good looking actor/actress? These men and women can fill out a suit or dress like nobody’s business!

2. They have lots of money – I’m not sure exactly how much actors make but I would imagine it is in the millions. That is why so many of them live in fancy homes, drive fancy cars, eat fancy food and take fancy vacations! I bet they don’t even know how much money they really have in the bank because their accountants do all of that work for them!

3. They all look like models – If you want to be an actor/actress then you better look like one too! Otherwise there is no way someone

Daytime actors and actresses are a different breed of actor. They work more, almost always have to work on weekends and have very little time off. These actors do this because they love their job and love the fans.

Daytime TV is not for everyone. It’s hard, grueling work and it’s only for those that really want it bad enough. Daytime actors will forever be in our hearts because of the wonderful memories they create as well as the great people they are.
