This reason is a very important reason because it will help students who have gone through a lot of struggles throughout their lives and now they just want a chance to get an education and be someone successful in life.

It is no secret that undocumented immigrants have been escaping poverty and an unsupportive environment in their home countries for years. Many of these immigrants come to the United States for a better life and for a chance at opportunity. But once they arrive, many of these undocumented students face even more obstacles because of their immigration status.

For example, undocumented students cannot legally work, nor are they eligible for public benefits such as welfare or food stamps. Many of these students dream about attending college but cannot afford it because they do not qualify for financial aid. Although some of these students turn to community colleges or private institutions which offer lower tuition rates, most of them are unable to pay out-of-pocket costs. This is why the California Dream Act is so important. The Dream Act will make it possible for undocumented students in California to attend college because it provides access to financial aid opportunities.
