I don’t know if they had a name. I’m sorry. I’m not very good at that kind of thing. There were people who worked at the theater and they were called actors. And there were other people who worked in the theater who would do all kinds of things, like make the costumes, make the furniture, set up the lights and so on and so forth. But I don’t know if they had a name.
I remember once we were performing a play about a man who was trying to be a great actor but he couldn’t get any work because he was too tall. He got so frustrated he decided to commit suicide and he jumped off a bridge into the river and drowned himself. It was called Tragedy of the Tall Man or something like that. But anyway, this guy was supposed to be tall so we hired this really tall man to play him. And he came on stage with big black boots on so he would look taller than he really was and then when he went to jump off the bridge, he just walked off the edge of it! [laughter]
I think it was called Tragedy of the Tall Man or something like that…
