Forbes has released its annual list of the highest-paid actors in Hollywood, ranking the top 10.
Topping the list for the second year in a row is Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, with his earnings coming in at $89.4 million.
The Rock made his money from his roles in the “Jumanji” and “Fast and Furious” franchises, as well as his work on HBO’s “Ballers.”
Next up is Chris Hemsworth, who earned $76.4 million through projects like “Men In Black: International” and Netflix’s action flick “Extraction.”
Rounding out the top three is Robert Downey Jr., who made $66 million. His earnings came from the Avengers franchise and his role in Disney’s live-action adaptation of “Dolittle.”

Dwayne Johnson’s “Fast 8” paycheck is the biggest of his career, but he’s not the only cast member of the blockbuster franchise enjoying a big payday.
The former wrestler is joined by Vin Diesel, Jason Statham, Tyrese Gibson and Kurt Russell on the list of highest-paid actors. All five of them are part of Universal’s “Fast and Furious” universe, and they all made more than $20 million in pretax earnings this year.
But not everyone on the list is part of an ensemble cast. Tom Cruise tops our annual ranking with a whopping $43.5 million in pretax earnings, thanks to his 7% cut from each “Mission: Impossible” film. The actor has made more than $700 million from that franchise alone, according to Box Office Mojo data.
Cruise is also one of Hollywood’s savviest dealmakers. He was able to negotiate back end points — or a cut of the film’s profits — on every “Mission: Impossible” film he starred in since 2006. That means he gets paid even if the movie flops at the box office.
Forbes has released their annual list of the world’s highest-paid actors, with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson topping the list for the second year in a row.
Johnson is said to have earned $64.5 million over the past year, thanks to his role in Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and a host of endorsement deals that keep him busy all year long. His earnings represent a significant increase from last year’s total of $65 million, when he was also at the top of this list.
Second on the list is Chris Hemsworth, who made more than half of The Rock’s total with $31.5 million. Marvel movies have proven to be incredibly lucrative for The Avengers star and he has reportedly signed on for two more Thor sequels that will likely pay him even more than what he made for Ragnarok last year.
Third place goes to Robert Downey Jr., who topped this list just two years ago as Iron Man in The Avengers: Age of Ultron and Captain America: Civil War. He earned an estimated $28 million during the past year and has one more Avengers film left on his contract that will likely earn him a pretty penny.
