This is a list of ten actresses who are actually finding work. I’m not saying they are top actresses, but they are definitely finding work in the entertainment industry as actors.

I have compiled this list from my own point of view and from my own knowledge. This is not a popular opinion piece, but more an attempt to get the facts straight and out there for those who want to know.

These are all my personal opinions, and I am by no means an expert or an authority on these subjects. These are just my opinions, and it is up to you to decide whether or not they hold any water.

I decided to write this article because I am getting tired of all the negativity in the media towards Christians and Christian actors. There is so much talent among Christian actors and actresses, but they can’t get work because of anti-Christian bias.

I know there are many non-Christians who love working with Christians. They don’t have a problem with them, because they have it in their hearts to love others and not be judgmental. They are mature people who do not judge others based on what they believe and how they live their lives. The problem is there are still too many ignorant people who do not understand or appreciate the true value of Christian actors.

The following list is just a small sampling of some of my favorite Christian actresses.

1. Charlize Theron

Charlize Theron is one of the top actresses on this list because she has been nominated for two Oscars and has won one for her role as Aileen Wuornos in Monster (2003). The other Oscar nomination was for North Country (2005). She recently starred as Imperator Furiosa in Mad Max: Fury Road (2015) which grossed over $378 million worldwide.

Let’s face it, if you are a devout Christian and also an actress, finding work in films and television can be challenging. The entertainment industry often portrays Christians as “foolish” or “backward,” and it is near impossible to find clean-cut roles that don’t involve being a nun or missionary. Also, it seems you have to choose between being a good Christian or a successful actress, but not both. However, there are some actresses who have managed to do both.
