The Best Actor category was one of the most high-profile in the recent Oscars. The leading contenders were Hollywood veterans Leonardo DiCaprio and Michael Fassbender, previous Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne, and Bryan Cranston, a previous Emmy winner for his turn in Breaking Bad. It was an incredibly tough field to beat.

There was one other name on the list that surprised many people: Matt Damon. He had been nominated in previous years but never won, and was up against very tough competition once again.

The surprising thing about Matt Damon’s nomination is that he wasn’t considered a serious contender until relatively late in the race. The Martian hadn’t come out when the other actors were getting all the praise and attention, and it seemed like there wasn’t room for him in the category. However, he managed to stage an Oscar campaign that has resulted in him winning the award for Best Actor.

This means that if you want to be in contention for an Oscar you have to start planning from 18 months before the awards ceremony itself. It’s not enough to just make a great movie – you need to set yourself up as a serious contender and get people talking about your performance. Here are some ways that Matt

The Academy awards are a prestigious award given every year to the best films of the year. However, having a great film is not enough to win an Oscar. An Oscar campaign is also needed. This article talks about various actors who have won Oscars and how they managed their campaigns to get the award.

The article first tells us that Denzel Washington won the Academy Award in 2001. He won it for his role in the film “Training Day”. Denzel’s campaign manager was a very powerful woman named Peggy Siegal. She arranged press junkets with Denzel for the media and made sure he was seen at all of the major award shows like SAG and Golden Globes. They ran a full page ad in Variety magazine congratulating him on his nomination.

The next actor mentioned is Richard Gere who won in 1999 for his role as Billy Flynn in “Chicago”. His campaign team also put him on TV shows like Letterman and Leno to gain publicity. They also set up screenings of “Chicago” around town where people could go see it easily without having to make any effort themselves. Finally, they took out ads in newspapers congratulating him on this nomination!

The Oscars are the ultimate Hollywood award, so it’s no surprise that the stars of films would like to take home an Oscar. So it’s no surprise that some actors stage an Oscar campaign in their hopes of winning an Academy Award.

Winning an Oscar is more than just having a great performance; campaigning helps get a nomination, but can also help win the coveted prize. But what do Oscar campaigns entail? And how do they work? What is the process of staging an Oscar campaign?

For starters, most publicists believe there are five steps to winning an Oscar: 1) The first step is recognition and getting noticed; 2) The second step is the award nominations; 3) The third step is winning the award; 4) The fourth step is gaining clout and increasing your value as an artist; and 5) And finally, you gain momentum to open up future opportunities to grow your career.

Each year, a few actors are catapulted to stardom after winning an Oscar. But what happens next? Some of these actors go on to become A-list stars with flourishing careers. Others disappear into oblivion, never to be heard of again.

Winning an Oscar opens up a lot of doors for an actor. Many are offered leading roles in big budget movies. Some even get the opportunity to work with their favorite directors. The most successful actors parlay their Oscar win into the kind of career that most actors could only dream of having.

Here are some examples of famous actors who have won Oscars:

Leonardo DiCaprio: Leonardo DiCaprio has starred in some very popular movies like Titanic and Inception. He won his first Oscar at the 88th Academy Awards for his role in The Revenant. This was his sixth nomination for Best Actor but first win. DiCaprio is one of the highest paid actors in Hollywood and has appeared in over 50 movies since 1990!

Meryl Streep: Meryl Streep is considered one of the greatest actresses of all time and is often described as “the best actress of her generation”. She won her first Oscar at the 54th Academy Awards for her role in The Deer Hunter which was nominated

Lupita Nyong’o is the Phoebe Cates of this generation. She doesn’t need to do much to convince you that she’s a star; her mere presence, her beauty and her charm are enough to convince you that she’s something special.

It looks like Nyong’o is going to win the Best Supporting Actress Oscar for 12 Years a Slave, but it’s not because of her performance in the film – it’s because she successfully staged an Oscar campaign.

You might want to argue with me on this one and I suppose if you do I can understand. With that said, I will add that I think Nyong’o was robbed at the Golden Globes when Jennifer Lawrence won for American Hustle; Nyong’o could have won this Oscar last year for Beasts of the Southern Wild, but she wasn’t nominated; and I think there is more than enough evidence out there to suggest that this has been a carefully orchestrated campaign which has paid off handsomely.

For some actors, winning an Oscar seems to come with ease. Some of them win Oscars for their very first time on the big screen. Others have to wait a little longer, but still win within their first few Academy Award nominations. It’s not surprising that many have won the award more than once.

For others however, winning an Oscar is like climbing Mount Everest: it takes perseverance and determination to get there. It also takes a lot of work from a team of people behind the scenes who are all pushing for their actor to win that golden statue.

This year (2016), Leonardo DiCaprio won his first Oscar for Best Actor in The Revenant after being nominated five times before; Kate Winslet won her first Oscar for Best Supporting Actress in 2009, more than 10 years after she was first nominated; and Michael Keaton took home his first award after two prior nominations in 2015. That same year, Julianne Moore also won her first Oscar – her fifth nomination – while JK Simmons and Patricia Arquette both won their categories as well on their very first try.

As the Academy Awards are fast approaching, every now and then some of us may find ourselves wondering about the importance of the Award itself. How does winning an Oscar impact one’s career? Are there any actors who have successfully used this prestigious award to advance their careers?

The answer is yes. Here are two examples to illustrate this point:

1. Jack Nicholson is one of the biggest stars in Hollywood. He has been nominated for twelve Oscars and won three of them. In 1975, he won his first Oscar for his performance in “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest”, which was a role that many actors were vying for. However, right after winning his second Oscar in 1983 for his performance in “Terms of Endearment”, Nicholson vanished from the spotlight for eight years and when he came back he had gained over 40 pounds and appeared overweight. This led many people to speculate that he had given up his career altogether. They were shocked when it was announced that he was nominated for an Oscar again in 1991 for “A Few Good Men” and they couldn’t understand why he would ever want another nomination after winning two of them already. But what they did not
