This is the first in a series of posts about how we built a conversion optimization strategy for one of our clients. It’s also a chance to show some of the tools we use and processes that are part of our workflow.
Last week we had the pleasure to meet with one of our clients, World Famous Actor , to talk about his new insurance product. We have been working with him for the last month setting up Google Analytics, building landing pages, and optimizing their lead generation funnel.
In this post I’d like to explain how we built an initial conversion optimization strategy for this new website, based on Google Analytics data and A/B testing hypotheses. The process involves three steps:
1) Identify quick wins by analyzing current analytics data
2) List out hypotheses to test based on your analysis
3) Design experiments to test your hypotheses
In the past couple of years, I have been working on a new insurance product. It’s called “World Famous Actor’s Insurance”.

The World Famous Actor Insurance Team
When creating our new insurance product, we used a very popular and famous actor to promote it.
The actor is the biggest name in the world and the product he is promoting is one of the most popular in the world.
We had a blog that was dedicated to this topic but it was not getting much traffic.
The actor’s name was not enough to make a blog successful.
In order to get people interested we had to come up with something different and interesting for them.
We decided that instead of using his name as a blog title, we would use his face as our logo.
This was much more attractive and it caught people’s attention immediately.
We chose an image from one of his films which showed him smiling while wearing sunglasses and holding up two fingers in the shape of a “V”. This image was very distinctive so it stood out amongst other insurance websites which all looked similar.
The key to a great conversion of the insurance product is that it should be fast and easy to use. The product should have been designed in such a way that it can be used easily. It is hard to overstate how much I love the insurance product. It is the best thing that has ever happened to me, and I want everyone else to know about it so they can benefit from it too.
It has been the single most important factor in my success because it has given me the confidence to do things I didn’t think I could do.
