Her parents are Sally, a nursery school teacher, and Andrew, who works for a pallet distribution company. She is the youngest of three children. Her father is English and her mother is Scottish. When she was two years old, she and her family moved to Chesterton, Warwickshire.
She grew up with an interest in sports and acting. She was a member of Playbox Theatre Company since she was three years old. At the age of five, she won the part of Young Wendy in Showtime’s production of Peter Pan. In 2008, she was chosen to play Sansa Stark in Game of Thrones due to her strong screen presence and emotional depth.
