best actors. This list is not in any particular order,
since all these actors are great. I tried to pick
a diverse group of actors and actresses, so no one
particular genre would dominate the list. Also, I
have included both males and females from different
eras in film. Without further ado, the 20 greatest

In order to figure out who the greatest Hollywood actors of all time were, we looked at how many big-time award wins they have. We used Rotten Tomatoes to determine if they had won either an Oscar or a Golden Globe. We then used IMDb to see how many well-known movies they had starred in.
The following is a list of the 20 greatest Hollywood actors of all time, ranked by their awards and achievements. Some of them are still making movies today, but a few haven’t been on screen for years.

The Oscars are this Sunday, and it’s time to take stock of the greatest actors of all time.
There are only two rules for this list:
1) Actors must have been alive within the last 50 years.
2) Actors must have appeared in a movie during the last 20 years.
