Peter Dinklage is looking Handy this Halloween: a blog about how to make yourself look like Tyrion Lannister.

If you want to dress up as the most popular Game of Thrones cast member, you’ll need a long wig, fake beard, and prosthetic nose. Then all you need is a red cape, some chain mail, and a lot of wine.

To make myself look like the half-man dwarf, I bought a $2.99 nose prosthetic from a costume store in LA. (I may have been somewhat underdressed for the event.) I then topped it off with eyebrow makeup and some fake blood. I also wore a pair of black glasses with gold rims, which I got from an eyewear company that makes movie replicas.

The result? Dinklage looked pretty cool in his getup.

This year’s most popular Halloween costume isn’t a movie or TV character. It’s Tyrion Lannister, the most popular character on the most popular TV show of all time.

But where do you even begin to make a Tyrion Lannister costume?

First off, let me admit I’m not a makeup artist. I’m just a guy who’s spent an embarrassingly large amount of time contemplating how to make myself look like Tyrion Lannister. But after weeks of research, trial and error, and dirty looks from the people at Party City (seriously, they did not want to help me get this right), my quest is complete: I look just like Peter Dinklage!

How did I do it? By following these easy steps…

Peter Dinklage has achieved international success in his portrayal of Tyrion Lannister on HBO’s Game of Thrones.

The Emmy winner, who recently won the Golden Globe, has a team of talented artists to help him transform into the character. Find out how you can make yourself look like Tyrion this Halloween.

The first step is to make your face as pale as possible. The colorist used MAC’s foundation paint in White for Dinklage’s complexion. Dinklage gets his eyebrows tinted and shaped, and then uses black eyeliner and mascara to enhance his natural features.

To get the scar above his eye, the hair and makeup artist uses liquid latex to create it, which he then tints red and blends in with stage blood. The same process is used for a different scar on his face that was created by prosthetics.

The finishing touches include applying more foundation paint, powdering his nose and forehead, adding more eyeliner and mascara, and dabbing lipstick on his lips.

Dinklage also shaved his head for the role of Tyrion, but if you want to try it without shaving your head entirely, find a wig that matches the shade of your natural hair color and cut it into a pixie cut

If you want to look like Tyrion Lannister, the half-man Lord of Casterly Rock, you will need a small stature and large ego. If you don’t have those, here is how to fake it.

First, get a nose. For those who are lacking in this area, there are many excellent fake noses available for purchase. Apply some glue (spirit gum) to the bridge of your nose and stick on the prosthetic. Make sure that it stays secure throughout the night. If you are feeling crazy, use spirit gum to secure a few hairs from a beard or wig around your nostrils. This will give the appearance of a few stray nose hairs, which Tyrion has in abundance.

Next comes the stubble and facial hair. Peter Dinklage doesn’t have much of either, but with prosthetics and makeup you can easily approximate his look. Use some spirit gum and attach a few pieces of “facial hair” to your chin. A few on your cheeks would also be appropriate. Don’t overdo it; Tyrion isn’t as hairy as his family members with full beards and mustaches like Jaime or Tywin Lannister.

For his stubble, use some eyeliner or eyebrow pencil (ideally

This Halloween, you can be the most extravagant character on Game of Thrones. Forget about dressing up like Jon Snow (everyone will be doing that) or Daenerys Targaryen, who is a lot harder to pull off.

Instead, go for Tyrion Lannister, who always has the best lines and needs only a few simple items to look just like him. If you have longer hair you can even braid it and put it in a bun at the nape of your neck.

The first thing you need for your Tyrion costume is a black wig. This one should do nicely — it is styled right and has the right length: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00A6D0ET6 (Links to an external site.)Links to an external site.. You can also buy a wig cap (optional). The second thing you need are prosthetics to make yourself look like Tyrion’s scarred face. The third thing you need are contact lenses that make your eyes gray, so you look like Tyrion does when he takes off his

The first thing you need to do is decide what you want to be. If you want to be Tyrion Lannister, or even just a Lannister, it’s easy enough to pull off. You need a black suit, white shirt and a tie- either plain black or one with some kind of pattern like Tyrion would wear. You can also wear something red, such as the Lannister sigil on your chest or sleeve, if you’d like.

The second step is to go find someone who looks like him. There are plenty of pictures available online from Game of Thrones, so take advantage!

Thirdly, you’ll need accessories. A sword is always helpful, but you might also want gloves or boots as well depending on how fancy you’re feeling at any given time 🙂

Lastly make sure everything matches perfectly so people know who exactly it is that they’re seeing when looking at your costume!

The first thing you need to do is get the right look. Start with a bald cap and pull it on over your face and head. Then, use spirit gum to attach facial hair (a goatee and some sideburns) to your face. Use liquid latex to blend the edges of the wig and facial hair together.

When it comes to clothing, the important thing is to make sure that your clothes are not too big for you. Also, make sure that there’s something a little unusual about your look, like wearing suspenders with a suit jacket or adding a vest as an extra layer.

Lastly, you’ll need a goblet of wine or perhaps some ale or mead to drink from during the party.
