The following was written by Michael J. Fox:

It’s hard to believe that I haven’t worked in a TV series since Spin City ended in 2002, and after eight years I’m ready to return to acting full time. But finding the right show isn’t easy. It’s very important to me that the character I play not be defined by his illness but rather his personality and the choices he makes in dealing with life. To that end I’ve been working with Sony and NBC on a script for a comedy loosely based on my experiences living with Parkinson’s Disease.

The Oscar-winning actress Jessie West has joined the cast of Michael J. Fox’s new web series, My Life.

According to an interview with Fox on Hollywood Brouhaha, West will play a pivotal role in the series, which is about a young woman with cancer who dreams of becoming a backup dancer.

“The show is about her as a dancer and her life and her boyfriend,” he said. “It’s really kind of sweet.”

Fox also revealed that he had been working on the project for years and wanted to make it before his Parkinson’s disease progressed.

“I’ve been thinking about doing this for a long time,” he said. “I thought it would be good for me to get something out there that I could relate to.”

He added that the series had been inspired by his own experience with cancer when he was younger, as well as that of his wife, Tracy Pollan.

“I was going through some serious stuff,” he said. “And she was going through some serious stuff.”

Jessie West, the Oscar winner and former star of the hit ABC drama Grey’s Anatomy, has joined Michael J. Fox in My Life, a new web series that is set to launch later this year.

West will play the role of Alice, a mother who is suffering from depression after her teenage son was diagnosed with cancer. The show will follow the family as they struggle with the diagnosis and their attempt to make their son’s life better.

The project, which was created by Fox and his wife Tracy Pollan, will be produced by Warner Bros Digital Distribution and is based on an original script written by Fox. It will be directed by Stephen Frears, who directed Fox in Back to the Future Part II and Part III.

“I am so excited to work with Michael and Tracy on this project,” said West in a statement. “I think it is so important for people to know that there are children out there who are battling this disease every single day.”

Fox has been involved in raising awareness about Parkinson’s disease since he was diagnosed in 1991. He founded the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research in 2000, which has raised more than $350 million for research into a cure for Parkinson’s disease.

We are thrilled to announce that Jessie West has joined the cast of Michael J. Fox’s new web series!

Fox, who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 1991, recently launched a foundation to raise money and awareness for research into the disease. The launch coincides with the release of his book “Always Looking Up: The Adventures of an Incurable Optimist.”

In an interview with Oprah Winfrey this week, Fox said he has gotten three stem cell treatments since his diagnosis. He told Winfrey he still had trouble getting out of bed in the morning and walking, but that he had a little more energy now than before.

“I have to walk around my house before I can sit down,” he said. “It’s not like I’m jumping out of bed dancing.”

Fox also said he is working on a new movie about a boy with cancer who’s trying to get his father back. “It’s about something much more important than what I do,” he said.

The web series, which will be produced by Fox and written by West, is expected to premiere this summer.

Jessie West, a veteran of 20 films including “Independence Day” with Will Smith and “The Shawshank Redemption” with Tim Robbins, has been cast in the new web series My Life, starring Michael J. Fox.

West will portray Shannon, the owner of an alternate lifestyle club that is frequented by drug users and prostitutes. “It’s a gritty role,” West said in describing her character. “I love playing people who are ‘unlikeable.’ It’s a challenge but always worthwhile.” The new series will be filmed in New York City this summer and stream on NBC’s website beginning in September.

Actor Jess West will join Michael J. Fox in the new web series project My Life, which is being produced by Fox and his wife Tracy Pollan.

West will play the role of Dr. Johnson, a young neurosurgeon. The series is described as a “comedy of the future.” It’s set in an alternate reality where all technology is at its height and the Internet has been replaced by a global digital network that connects everyone on Earth. The story follows Michael J. Fox as he gets into a fight with his computer, while West plays his son, who is trying to help him get back online.

In addition to having appeared in several films and TV shows, West has also directed several episodes of a series called How I Met Your Mother. He’s also known for directing episodes of television shows such as Mad Men and The Good Wife.

The series will air on Vimeo and other video platforms later this year.
