The body of the oldest man in the world has been found at his home.
Mr. Williams, who was also the oldest actor ever to perform in a leading role on Broadway, was found dead at his home in New York City last night after failing to turn up for dinner. It is believed that he died from natural causes.
Although best known for his role as Professor Michael Fitzgerald in the film The Last Samurai, Mr. Williams was still working and had recently recorded a voice over for Disney’s latest animated movie, My Neighbor Totoro. He also had a cameo appearance in Steven Spielberg’s latest movie, Wild Tales.
Despite having been diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2007 and suffering from Alzheimer’s disease, Mr. Williams continued to work until his death and remained an active member of the Screen Actors Guild until 2013.
In 2012 he received an honorary Academy Award for life time achievement and received an honorary Oscar last year for services to cinema history.
The oldest actor in Hollywood is reported to have died at the age of 111. The actor, who was born in 1905, was famous for his roles in classic films such as The Godfather and Star Wars.
A spokesperson for his family said they had found him dead on Saturday morning after he failed to show up for dinner the previous evening. He lived alone in a house in Los Angeles and had no children. A maid discovered his body after she entered his home with a spare key. His death is not believed to be suspicious.
He began working in Hollywood as a teenager and played small parts in several movies before shooting to fame with his role as the main character’s father in 1972 movie The Godfather. He also appeared in Star Wars, which was released three years later, and recently played a minor role in the first instalment of the latest Star Wars trilogy, which was released last year.
In a statement released on Sunday, the family spokesperson said: “He will be remembered for his amazing performances in movies throughout Hollywood’s golden age and will be sadly missed by all those who knew him.”
On February 14th, actor James Garner, best known for his roles in Murphy’s Romance and The Notebook, was found dead at his Los Angeles home. He was 86. According to the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office, he died of natural causes at 7:30 PM.
The news of Garner’s death comes as a surprise to fans and movie-lovers around the globe. In addition to being an acclaimed actor, he had recently made a return to the big screen after years off the radar. His final film appearance was in 2014’s The Ultimate Life, a Christian drama based on a series by Christian novelist Jim Stovall.
Garner started his acting career in the 1950s doing various television roles while also appearing in several Hollywood films. In 1957 he won an Emmy Award for his role in Maverick, a television series about a cowboy that ran from 1957-1962. He is best known for playing Bret Maverick and later Beau Maverick, opposite Jack Kelly as Bart Maverick. During this time in his career he also starred in several movies including Sayonara (1957), Boys’ Night Out (1962) and The Thrill of It All (1963).

The Oldest Actor in Hollywood, Norman Lloyd died peacefully at his home in the Pacific Palisades. He was believed to be 106.
Norman Lloyd was born on November 8, 1909 in Jersey City, New Jersey, USA as Norman Perlmutter. He was an actor and producer, known for Deadline – U.S.A. (1952), Revenge of the Creature (1955) and Saboteur (1942). He was married to Peggy Craven Lloyd and Peggy Craven.
He has died just months before he would have celebrated his 107th birthday.

The Dutch born actor, Jan Kuiper, who lived in New York, was famous for appearing opposite Bruce Willis in the movie ‘Die Hard 2’ and starred in TV shows including ‘The West Wing’ and ‘NYPD Blue’.
Mr. Kuiper died yesterday at his home in Manhattan with his wife Mary-Louise Parker by his side. He had been suffering from a rare form of dementia which he battled for many years.
A spokesman for his family said: “He was a fighter to the end. We are devastated to lose him but are so proud of all he achieved.”
Celebrities have paid tribute to the actor including Mel Gibson who worked with Mr. Kuiper on the 2012 movie ‘Get The Gringo’. He tweeted: “Really sad news about Jan Kuiper this morning. A true gentleman and an inspiration to us all.”
The oldest living actor, who was also the oldest living person in the world and the last survivor of the 1918 flu pandemic, died peacefully this morning at his home in Holmby Hills. He was 114 years old.
The cause of death is unknown, but he had been in good health since contracting influenza A (H1N1) in 2009, which he survived thanks to the antibodies collected by scientists that year as part of a mass immunization campaign. After moving to Los Angeles with his family in 1915, he began making a series of short comedies with Harold Lloyd and Roscoe “Fatty” Arbuckle before transitioning into more dramatic roles. He is perhaps best remembered for his performance as John Wilkes Booth in D.W. Griffith’s Birth of a Nation (1915).

Dame Peggy Ashcroft, one of Britain’s most distinguished actors, has died at her home in London aged 91.
She was perhaps best known for her Oscar-winning role in A Passage To India, but had a long and varied career on stage and screen.
Her health had been poor for some time and she spent the last few years of her life blind.
Dame Peggy made her first professional appearance on stage in 1925, with the Oxford University Dramatic Society.
She achieved early success in the West End with roles in Private Lives and Design For Living.
The actress appeared in a number of films including The 39 Steps, The Scarlet Pimpernel and Hamlet.
But it was as Adela Quested in A Passage To India which won her best actress Oscar in 1985, as well as a Bafta award.
