β’ Scott Peterson from Gilmore Girls

β’ Michael Hogan from Battlestar Galactica
β’ Keilani Rose (from Prince George) and Blair Lamora who star in Shoresy
These talented individuals will be joining the Northern Fancon community, bringing their unique skills and experiences to the event.
Indigenous Stars and Cultural Exchange
The Indigenous stars attending Northern Fancon have sparked a significant change in the event’s layout, with the Lheidli T’enneh taking over the atrium. This new arrangement will serve as the Lheidli T’enneh creative hub, merging the Indigenous and Western elements of the event.
βThere’s a very natural Indigenous element that has surfaced for this year,” said Norm Coyne, organizer of Northern Fancon. “We’ve got Graham Green, we’ve got Keilani Rose, we’ve got Blair Lamora, we’ve got a visual effects editor who worked on Batman V Superman who’s now a screenwriter for Sullivan’s Crossing named Ryan Atimoyoo. There’s already this very distinct Indigenous element to the event and so the Lheidli T’enneh is taking over the atrium. It’s gonna be the Lheidli T’ennele creative hub. So in the CN Centre the atrium and Kin 1, that is gonna be like the hub that actually merges the two β¦ the fact that they are on board for this, and the host nation is celebrating this event is massive to me.β
Creative Film Workshops
Northern Fancon will be offering a range of creative film workshops, including a speed-matching workshop for those looking to get into the film industry. This workshop will provide attendees with the opportunity to meet industry professionals and learn about the latest trends and technologies. Another notable workshop is the voice acting contest called Speak Up, where the winner will receive voice acting training and a leg up in the industry.
Film and Documentary
A new documentary is being filmed at Northern Fancon this year, titled “Good to be Seen”. This documentary follows the story of Michael Hogan, an actor who sustained a brain injury after an accident and has since been working to recover and return to acting.

A Celebration of Passion and Community
Organizer Norm Coyne emphasized the importance of celebrating the passion and hard work of those involved in the event.
βThe reality of live events is they take a lot of work. It’s not like these are huge money-makers or anything like that. It’s hosted in Prince George because of all the passion of the people that are attached to it. For live events to live on, people have to turn out. This would be the perfect year too if you haven’t been to a Fancon to come, because it’s going to be the biggest we’ve had yet.β
These words highlight the significance of Northern Fancon as a community-driven event, where fans come together to celebrate their shared passion for entertainment and creativity. With its diverse range of guests, vendors, and activities, Northern Fancon promises to be an unforgettable experience for all attendees.
