The opening attraction is the new animated feature “A Dolphin’s Tale” based on a true story of an injured dolphin that was saved by a prosthetic tail.

I recently had the opportunity to speak with the actor Richard Armitage about his new movie, A Walk Among the Tombstones. During our conversation, he described his character as being “quite violent” and “in your face,” then added that this was a departure for him.
“You’re known for playing villains,” I pointed out.
“I am?” he said, smiling. “Well β I suppose I have played a couple.”
This is true. In addition to his role in Tombstones, Armitage has portrayed a hit man in Kill List and a serial killer in Frozen and Hannibal Rising, among other characters of dubious moral standing. And yet you get the sense that people often forget just how much badness this guy really does. He’s an actor who frequently plays villains but is rarely thought of as one β which is odd, because his villainy is exceptionally easy to remember. The most famous roles of Armitage’s career are, collectively, some of the scariest onscreen performances of recent years, and also some of the most distinctive: He doesn’t just stand out because he plays frightening characters; he stands out because they’re frightening in such different ways.
