Kevin Hart is a comedic genius, an actor, and a New York Times Best-Selling author. Kevin recently spoke to The Huffington Postโ€™s Caroline Modarressy-Tehrani about his upcoming tour for his untitled comedy special. He also discussed the importance of social media and the impact it has on his business.

Kevin Hart: Itโ€™s definitely important, but I also take into consideration that there are people who donโ€™t have social media and there are people that still live in the dark ages of cell phones and stuff like that. So I do a good balance of both. I try to be as interactive as possible with my fan base, but at the same time I get out there with radio interviews, television interviews, and making sure that my team goes to places where they can really market me to give me this platform.

Social media is definitely important, but again you canโ€™t rely just on social media alone. You have to really do your homework and make sure that you reach everybody that you possibly can reach when it comes down to marketing yourself as a brand or a product or an individual. Social media is definitely a great tool; itโ€™s definitely given me an outlet and itโ€™s given me

The Philly born and bred comic spoke with BET.com about that, his upcoming comedy special and what it’s like being Kevin Hart these days.

BET.COM: Congrats on your new tour!

KH: Thank you very much! I’m very excited about it. It’s called Let Me Explain. It’s a follow up to Laugh At My Pain. We’re going around the world starting off in the U.S., then we go to Europe, come back to the states and then we’ll end in Africa.

BET.COM: You had trouble getting into England last time because of visa issues, how did you get around that?

KH: Well, luckily for me this time I was able to get my visa early so that was taken care of before I left for the trip . . . I’m prepared this time around so there won’t be any of that this time around. The show will be awesome and they’ll have a great chance to see Kevin Hart do what he does best!
