This is a blog that reviews the actors who portrayed Venom in movies.
What did you think of Topher Grace’s performance as Venom? How’d he handle the iconic dialogue, “You’re Eddie Brock!”? Did you like his interpretation of The Symbiote scene?
What about Tom Hardy’s performance as Venom? He did a good job at portraying Eddie Brock, but did he do justice to the character of Venom? His interpretation of The Symbiote scene was a little over-the-top, IMHO.
Who do you think will play Venom next?
As Venom fans, we have our favorite actors who played Venom. Some of us prefer Topher Grace and others prefer Tom Hardy. As you know, there have been many actors who’ve portrayed Venom in various movies and TV shows but there are only three who’ve portrayed the character on the big screen. The first actor to portray the symbiote in a feature film was Topher Grace, then came Eddie Brock Jr., and finally Tom Hardy.
I think that all three actors did great jobs portraying the character. They all brought something different to the role and that’s what made them unique. I think it’s safe to say that Tom Hardy was the best actor out of all three because he had more experience acting than anyone else had at that time.
But I don’t think it’s fair to judge an actor by how much experience they have acting. I think that each actor brings something different to their role and should be judged on their own merits instead of comparing them with other actors who’ve done similar roles before them.”
Tom Hardy came in as the most popular portrayal of Venom. It was no surprise to us, but it’s still amazing to see how much people liked it.
We have a lot more analysis coming over the next couple weeks, so stay tuned to our blog for more information on your favorite actors portrayals of Venom!

Venom is a Marvel comic book character that was first introduced in the comic “The Amazing Spider-Man
Venom is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character is a sentient alien Symbiote with an amorphous, liquid-like form, who requires a host, usually human, to bond with for its survival. After bonding, the Symbiote endows its enhanced powers upon the host. When the Venom Symbiote bonds with a human, that new dual-life form refers to itself as “Venom”.
The Venom Symbiote’s first known host was Spider-Man, who eventually separated himself from the creature when he discovered its true nature. The Symbiote went on to merge with other hosts, most notably Eddie Brock, its second and most infamous host, with whom it first became Venom and one of Spider-Man’s archenemies.
The Venom Symbiote is also known as one of the greatest threats to humanity, alongside Carnage and Toxin.
Venom has appeared in multiple media since his debut in The Amazing Spider-Man
Venom is a great movie.
I’m not sure what I was expecting, but this wasn’t it.
The most important thing to note about Venom is that it’s a love story. The second most important thing to note about Venom is that it’s also a horror film. And the third most important thing to note about Venom is that it’s also an action film. And finally, the fourth most important thing to note about Venom is that it’s also a comedy.
I think the reason so many people are responding negatively to the film is because they’re expecting one kind of movie and getting another. I’m not saying there isn’t room for improvement, but I think what we have here is fundamentally a genre-bending masterpiece that has something for everyone.
