In a fast-paced world, minimalism is making a comeback. Do you find yourself drowning in clutter? Do you have too many things to take care of?
Minimalist life provides the solution. We show you how to declutter your home and eliminate unnecessary entities in your life.
To start on the journey to become a minimalist, follow our easy steps:
How to Declutter Your Life.
Clear Your Mind.
Minimize Your Wardrobe.
Downsize Your Possessions.
Simplify Your Relationship With Food.
Declutter Your Home.
I’m a big fan of eliminating unnecessary entities in your life. But when it comes to getting rid of my own possessions, I’m a hoarder.
One problem I’ve found with decluttering is that it’s an ongoing process. You’ll get rid of the worst offenders, but new stuff will accumulate to take their place. So you have to keep repeating the process, over and over.
I think this is one reason why people don’t declutter their homes very often: it seems like too much work. So here’s my solution: do less decluttering.
The key is to make the things you’re willing to get rid of more visible. Then you can declutter them without thinking about it.
I used this trick with clothes for years before discovering that “making things visible” was the principle behind some other tricks I’d developed on my own, such as my To Read Later bookmarklet and a system for “inbox zero” email processing.
My life is cluttered. I probably have too many clothes, and I almost certainly have too many books. My house is cluttered β there are things all over the place that do not belong where they are. My days are cluttered with extraneous distractions.
My home office is a disaster area. There are piles and stacks of paper, huge heaps of unsorted receipts and tax records, old magazines, and assorted junk that has been accumulating for years. I have boxes of computer parts in my garage from the last time I upgraded my computer. I have bags full of clothes that need to be ironed or dry cleaned.
I am a pack rat by nature. I can’t bear to throw anything away that might conceivably be useful one day in the future, in some unknown situation as yet unimagined. My wife jokes that she would like to take a camera crew through our house so they could film all the things “I’ll fix it someday.”
In short, my life is cluttered.
When I look at my apartment, it seems nice and tidy. But when I start to finally tackle the clutter, I get overwhelmed.
I’m not lazy by any stretch of the imagination. In fact, I can be quite productive when I set my mind to something. But cleaning up is one thing that I avoid whenever possible.
Why? Because it involves thinking, and making decisions, and sometimes involves getting rid of things that you may need someday in case of emergency. Or gifts from loved ones (even though we’ve never used them). Or clothes that are just a little too small for you now, but will definitely fit again soon (right…?).
All that stuff takes time and effort to sort through, decide what to keep or get rid of, figure out where to put everything… You get the idea. And that’s a lot of work!
John has been a professional photographer for over 30 years, and in that time he has photographed babies, children, families, high school seniors and even dogs. He started this business by taking pictures of the kids at a local park and now he does it full time.
On his website you will find tips for posing people to make them look their best whether they are family portraits or senior pictures. He also offers mini photo sessions where you can get several different poses with your family, or book an extended session where you can choose from many different locations.
His studio is located in a scenic area that provides beautiful backgrounds for all types of photos. You can choose from formal settings like the living room or dining room to more casual areas like gardens or parks. The best part is that they offer digital downloads so you do not have to pay for prints every time.
This company also offers commercial photography services as well as event photography such as weddings and parties. They have photographers who specialize in all types of photography including landscape shots and portraits of children or animals. The staff here knows how to take pictures that will make you look your absolute best!
When you see a celebrity portrait, it’s usually carefully posed. The subject is usually looking directly at the camera. There are no messy things in the background. There’s often a prop or two to give the picture some context.
In contrast, casual photographs of friends and family tend to be messy and random. Kids look away or have their mouths open, people have stuff in the background, etc. The photographer usually gets lucky if they manage to get everyone in focus, never mind looking directly at the camera.
There’s a reason for this: Posed photos look good because people start acting more like models than normal human beings when they’re being photographed (or filmed). This is especially true of celebrities who pose all the time: They know exactly what poses work best for their body type, facial structure and personality.
Essentially everyone who has ever been photographed looks better when they’re posing: It just takes a bit of practice to find your ideal pose and angle of head turn (and maybe some coaching from a professional photographer).
In our society, we are faced with a constant battle between technology and the environment. In today’s world, we have allowed these two items to become intertwined into our everyday lives. We are constantly faced with new devices that are designed to make our lives easier. Although technology is supposed to be a tool that helps us in our everyday lives, it has begun to take over our lives. This can be a problem for many reasons.
One reason why technology is causing problems is because of how much time it takes up in our lives. If you stop and think about how much time you spend on your computer or cell phone each day, you will notice that it is quite a large amount of time. Not only that, but you probably spend more time on your computer than you spend with your family and friends combined! This is a very sad reality, but one that many people have fallen prey to.
The second reason why technology is becoming a problem in today’s society is because of how it affects the environment. With all of this new technology being released every day, it’s easy to see how the environment can start to suffer as well.**
