A blog about the fashion changes in the Mad Men television show, including product recommendations.

At the beginning of the series, Don Draper’s style is very conservative and conventional for his era. He wears dark suits, crisp white dress shirts and skinny ties. Some of his suits are double-breasted. His fedora and white pocket square are sophisticated accessories that are also traditional for a man of his age and status.

As the show progresses, Don’s suits become more relaxed and stylish with less structure; they appear to be single-breasted or unconstructed. The lapels are often wider. He favors navy blue over charcoal gray and black, although he still wears these colors too. Sometimes he wears tweed sports jackets with jeans or khakis instead of a suit jacket.

Don Draper’s style is most fashionable when he’s working on anti-heroes like Lucky Strike cigarettes or Chevy cars – both brands that have been so successful for so long that they don’t need to be marketed as cool anymore.

Don Draper’s style is one of the most influential styles of all time. The way he dresses and the way he carries himself has become a part of our cultural identity. If you want to dress like Don Draper, you should be ready for some changes in your lifestyle. Here are a few changes that Don Draper’s style has gone through since the beginning of Mad Men:

Don Draper’s Suit: Originally, Don wore suits that were cut very close to his body. Nowadays, it is not uncommon for men to wear suits with slightly looser cuts or even suits that are baggier than Don’s original suits on Mad Men. This is because many men today prefer a more relaxed fit than what was originally worn by Don Draper.

Don Draper’s Shirt: In the first season of Mad Men, Don typically wore shirts with very high collars and wide ties. These days, it is more common for men to wear shirts with lower collars and narrower ties. This change can be attributed to the fact that men generally prefer a more casual look these days as opposed to a more formal look as seen on Mad Men.

Don Draper’s Hair: When we first met Don Draper, he had a full head

When Don Draper first hit the airwaves in 2007, women watched for his virility and men watched for his style. His fashion was that of a confident, successful businessman. It’s no wonder why so many people were inspired to dress like Mr. Draper when the show started.

In its 7th season, Mad Men is finally coming to an end. As we reflect on the way that Don Draper’s style has changed over the years, it’s clear to see that he has become older and wiser each season. He has gone from being a stylish professional to a man who dresses comfortably and casually in order to look less conspicuous.

Don Draper is one of the most popular TV characters of all time, and his look is a large part of this. He’s become a style icon, with men everywhere imitating his classic 1960s look.

This post will break down Don’s style in each season of Mad Men (the first five seasons, that is), and explain how you can pick up pieces similar to what he’s wearing. We’ll also throw in some style tips that you can use no matter what your personal aesthetic is.

Season 1

In the first season, Don is still relatively young and inexperienced at Sterling Cooper. His suits are darker shades of grey and blue, but never black. His ties are thinner than what we see later on in the series, and he wears them with the dimple just above the knot. He sports a classic hairstyle for the era, slicked back but with some volume towards the front.

Don Draper is a fictional character on the AMC television series Mad Men, portrayed by actor Jon Hamm. Draper is the creative director at Sterling Cooper and later becomes a founding partner at Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce.

Draper is considered by many to be one of the greatest protagonists in all of television history, as well as one of the most iconic characters in popular culture. He also has been named as one of the hundred greatest characters ever created by Entertainment Weekly.

The character is widely regarded as having influenced cultural perceptions of advertising professionals and their image and career motivations, while his style has been credited with influencing menswear internationally.
