How does log in work and what are the benefits for you?
Log in is the first step to start using action. Once you have created an account, you can sign in using your username and password.
If you don’t have an account yet, you can create a new one by pressing the “Sign up now” button at the top of our homepage or on any other page where you see a “log in” link.
You may also use Facebook connect to sign in with your Facebook account.
Benefits of logging in:
As a logged-in user, you will be able to make full use of all the functions on action. This includes:
Being able to make actions and collect signatures
Being able to comment on actions and discuss them with other users
Receiving updates on actions which you have signed or supported
Keeping track of your own actions and those of other users
Action Log in is a service which allows you to log in to other websites using your Action account. The advantage of this is that you don’t have to remember or type in a different username and password each time you want to log in to a website. You also don’t have to disclose any personal information – such as your email address -to the website operator.
In order to use the Action Log in service, a website must be connected to the Action Log in service and support the OpenID standard.
If you already have an Action account, then you can start using Action Log in right away. If you don’t have an account, then please sign up for one by visiting the home page at www.action.com
You will notice that many websites now have icons which say “Log in with Action” or similar. If you click on one of these icons, then you will be taken through the following steps:
1/ You will be asked if you wish to log on using your Action account details. Clicking yes will take you straight through to step 3 if you are already logged on to your Action account. If not, then it will take you through steps 2 and 3 below instead:
2/ You will be asked for your username and password
To log in to action, open up the application and click on the login button. To log in you need your e-mail address or phone number and a password. You can also log in with facebook for easy and quick access to your account. This will also help you get started on action with basic information already filled in for you.
You’re right, I should have been more clear. When you add a device to your account, it is tied permanently to your account. Once you have added a device to your account, it becomes yours forever.
If you are concerned about having your account stolen, then don’t share your login information with anyone and use a strong password.
We also allow you to delete any of your devices from your account anytime, and they will be removed from our system. You can do this by going to the “devices” tab in the “settings” section of the app.
This is how we enforce the limit of 3 devices per account. You can replace old devices with new ones whenever you want, but if you try to add more than 3 devices at a time then you won’t be able to log in until one or more of those devices is removed.
This also means that if you lose access to an email address that is tied to your action log-in account (for example if you forget the password for that email address), then there’s no way for us to verify that it’s really you and no way for us to help you get back into your account without physically visiting one of our offices in person.
When you log in, we use the information to create a personalised experience for you.
We remember the products you have viewed and added to your wish list whilst logged in. This allows you to add these products to your shopping cart and checkout quickly.
We remember your details so that you don’t need to enter them each time you visit, and we also use them as part of our fraud prevention measures, which we constantly improve.
When you log in, we will also provide you with relevant content based on your preferences, such as our latest campaigns, relevant articles, competitions and other offers or opportunities we think may be of interest to you.
You can always change or update the information that we hold about you by logging in and updating your account details or by contacting our Customer Services team.
