Hopkins Actors Helping is a student organization dedicated to helping the planet by taking an eco-friendly approach to trash removal. The organization’s main goal is to pick up trash around campus and in the surrounding area, such as near Washington Grove. Members also promote environmental sustainability through educational initiatives, including environmentally-themed events and presentations for classes.
Hopkins Actors Helping was founded in 2009 by student Julia Buchman. It has since expanded from just a few student members to more than 100, representing nearly every SAIS division and international office. The group meets every second Sunday of the month at 12pm at Remington Row (near the corner of Howard and 27th Street). Students can come to pick up trash bags and gloves, before heading out in small groups throughout the neighborhood.
If students are interested in joining Hopkins Actors Helping or learning more about the group, they should contact Program Coordinator Emily Sisson at esisson8@jhu.edu.
Hopkins Actors Helping (HAH) is a non-profit organization that has been serving the Baltimore and surrounding communities for over 10 years. We provide eco-friendly trash removal services to our customers, with a focus on recycling, composting and other environmentally friendly practices. Our goal is to help clean up the community while minimizing the impact our trash has on the environment.
We are currently looking for volunteers to join our team! If you’re interested in making a difference, please contact us at contact@hah.org or visit us at www.hah.org.
Hopkins Actors Helping is a group of students, faculty, and staff who are dedicated to taking care of the earth by keeping our community free from trash. In addition to collecting trash on Hopkins’ Homewood campus and in neighboring Charles Village, we also strive to educate students about the importance of sustainability and conservation.
To get involved, look out for our upcoming events posted on Facebook or email us at hopkinsactorshelping@gmail.com. We can’t wait to have you join our family!
Our most recent clean-up was on Wednesday, March 29th at 3pm on the Hutzler lawn!
Hello! Welcome to Hopkins Actors. We are a company that specializes in helping the environment by removing trash from your residence.
Hopkins Actors began when two friends, Charlie and Will, decided they wanted to make a difference by cleaning up the world around them. With trash bags in hand, they started their journey to creating a better place. As time passed, more and more people joined the movement and became part of Hopkins Actors. Today, we have over 100 dedicated members who believe in leaving the world a better place for future generations.
We know it is difficult to find time to clean up your house or apartment, especially when you have so many other things on your mind. That is why we are here! We will work with you to develop a plan that fits into your schedule so that you do not have to worry about cleaning up after yourself.
