The system will require integration between the website and the internal server in order to perform following functions.

1. Create new charge session by opening the connection between the internal server and third party payment gateway.

2. Inserting customer information into the database on the internal server side.

3. Sending newly created customer data to third party payment gateway as well as sending credit card information for processing.

4. Third party payment gateway will process credit card information and send back a response whether transaction was successful or not along with other information about the transaction like amount charged, transaction id, etc…

5. Internal server will receive this information from third party payment gateway and will store it in its database and then will send this information to website for processing. The website will then use this information for further steps like account creation on their site if necessary, sending email confirmation to customers, etc…

If the customer wishes to avail himself of the warranty benefit, he has to return the battery to be recharged free of cost at any service centre within one year. The battery will be recharged for free only if it shows no signs of damage and is not more than one year old from the date of purchase. The service centre will keep a record of all such transactions in a database and will ensure that each battery can be recharged only once during its warranty period.

In order to deal with this scenario, EPBC needs to have a module which can be used by any company selling batteries online. This module should process orders, maintain individual customer accounts and allow customers to authenticate their warranty before sending in their batteries for recharge.
