An interesting observation made by a friend who is a Professor of English at Yale University has raised an interesting idea. Upon seeing the make-up free face of Emma Watson, the actor for Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter films, he stated “She looks like she could get straight As and be on the Varsity Squad.”
Hermione Granger is one of the most famous characters in literature and film. She is known for her intellect and beauty. She is portrayed by an actress who has a very pretty face.
I have begun to wonder if beauty correlates to success as well as Hermione’s character does. Is it possible that people of a certain level of attractiveness will achieve greater successes academically or professionally? If this is true, why are we still making comments about how beautiful Emma Watson is when she isn’t wearing make-up?

In the Harry Potter series, Hermione Granger is one of the smartest witches in her class. She is usually shown with perfect hair and make up. I think that this is a negative representation of how women look when they succeed in the workplace.
Hermione Granger could have been portrayed with messy hair and no make-up, while still being smart and respected by her peers. It is not necessary to wear make-up in order to be accepted in society. This also shows how women are expected to look every single day, even if they are just going to work.
In reality, we see many professional women who do not wear make-up to work. One example of this is Tina Fey, who does not wear any make-up on the set of her show 30 Rock. If you do a quick google search for “Tina Fey without makeup”, you will see plenty of photos of her without any foundation or lipstick on her face
It would be nice if more people started appreciating women for their achievements rather than their looks, because as Hermione Granger shows us, it is possible to achieve great things with a non-made up face!
The latest trend in academia is the no make-up movement, a trend that many say can help you look like a professional, even if you’re just starting out on your career and don’t have much experience to show for it. The blog “Hermione Granger Actor” ran by The Atlantic, explored this new phenomenon, which has been getting popular lately as more and more celebrities are revealing their natural face to the world. Hermione Granger from Harry Potter is one of these celebrities who has embraced the new no make-up movement.
A study done by the University of Texas found that those with less make-up on their faces tended to be viewed as more intelligent and less likely to be mistaken for a criminal. This study also found that when a woman had too much make-up on her face she was seen as less trustworthy and more dishonest than if she had little or no make-up at all! So what does all this mean? If you want people to think you’re smart and trustworthy just go au naturel!
In order to test this theory out I decided not put any make-up on my face (except mascara) and see how others reacted towards me while doing so. I wanted some scientific proof, so I went around asking random strangers what they thought
Emma Watson, the actress that played Hermione Granger, has been a popular topic of conversation lately. The young actress has been seen in public with a less than perfect complexion and many people have been noticing. Fans of the Harry Potter series seem to be concerned that this actress is not up to par with her character’s standards.
Hermione Granger was known for being the most intelligent witch in the Wizarding World and she was always portrayed as being extremely focused on academics. Hermione was also known for her perfectly groomed appearance at all times (except for one occasion when she lost hair due to an encounter with some Dementors). Some fans believe that you can’t be beautiful and smart at the same time; however, other fans believe that Hermione’s academic achievements are unrelated to her appearance.
Hermione Granger, the fictional character in the Harry Potter series, is known for being extremely clever and well-read. Her academic achievements are not only recognized by her peers, but also by her professors and even the teachers at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
The debate over whether Hermione’s intellect could be related to her looks. In the film adaptation of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, the actress Emma Watson is shown barefaced. However, she has been shown wearing makeup throughout the rest of the film series. The question arises: Could Hermione’s intelligence be affected by how much makeup she wears?
Hermione “is a brilliant young witch who proves to be a very valuable asset to Harry and Ron throughout both the books and films.” She is one of Harry’s best friends and is generally seen as a hero in the magical world. She has also been described as a “superstar” by fellow students. And yet, she has also been described as “plain-looking”.
Hermione is described in detail in each installment of JK Rowling’s books. Her appearance changes from time to time, but it never varies too far from Rowling’s original description: “She was a head taller than everyone else in her class.” Her hair
Harry Potter is a magical book series that has kept children and adults alike on their toes, wondering what will happen next. The movies are just as captivating as the books, but there’s something that bugs me about them. I think they made Hermione Granger way too pretty than she was in the books.
Hermione Jean Granger, who is played by Emma Watson in the movie series, is a Muggle-born Gryffindor student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. She is one of Harry Potter’s best friends and her expertise in magic allows her to be a valuable addition to the Golden Trio.
Hermione Granger was described as having bushy brown hair and large front teeth. She was definitely not as pretty as Emma Watson. The fact that she was not pretty bothered J.K Rowling so much that she stated that Hermione “would have something done about her teeth” if she were to be living in modern times.
I’m glad they made Hermione look prettier in the movie because it sends a strong message to young girls that they don’t need to be drop-dead gorgeous to be successful or smart. In fact, it might even help them achieve more academically or professionally because society
This is the first blog post of the series “Girl Engineers”. The blog posts in this series are about the experiences and thoughts of female engineers in a male dominated field. We hope to inspire future generations to break down gender barriers no matter what field they enter.
The first blog post discusses what we believe is the biggest difference between male and female engineers: appearance. While in most professions grooming oneself to look professional is expected, it seems that women take this to another level: they put on makeup every day before going to work.
In engineering, however, we believe that it should not matter what you look like as long as your ideas are good. In fact, if you are a woman, we believe that you should look messy and disheveled in order to prove your point. It is hard for male engineers to come up with a reasonable argument against your idea when you look like a mess and have had no time to wear makeup even if your idea is bad; they will assume you have had no time to brush your hair because you have been too busy analyzing data or writing code instead.
