An Oscar Winning actor, Domhnall Gleeson has been cast in Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures next Spider-Man film as the villain. This is a major casting coup for Sony who have struggled in recent years.
Gleeson has won multiple awards for his acting on both stage and screen and is one of Ireland’s most respected actors. The character he will be playing is being kept under wraps but there is much speculation that he will play Kraven the Hunter. This would be a great role for Gleeson as it would allow him to display his acting prowess.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the specifics of Gleeson’s character are being kept under wraps, but the trade says that he will be playing a villain. It’s not yet known which film he’ll appear in or if he’ll appear in more than one, though it seems likely he will be sticking around for awhile.
If there’s one thing that Gleeson does well, it’s playing a bad guy. He would make a great addition to the MCU with his ability to play characters that are endearing and charming on the surface, but really just want to destroy everything we love and hold dear.

Oscar winning actor Domhnall Gleeson, who won the award for Best Actor in a Leading Role for his performance in Ex Machina has been confirmed to be joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe. News of his involvement was revealed at Comic-Con. Gleeson will play the villain in the upcoming Star Wars spin-off Rogue One and he’ll also be appearing as a robot alongside Will Smith in sci-fi movie Bicentennial Man.
Gleeson is best known for his role as Bill Weasley in the Harry Potter film series but he has also appeared in films such as 12 Years A Slave and True Grit. He’s currently starring on Broadway in The Lieutenant of Inishmore but will return to London later this year to begin filming another Harry Potter spin-off movie Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them.

The upcoming third installment of the Captain America franchise will see the Avengers divided, after the government introduces new legislation to regulate super-powered individuals.
Gleeson, who was Oscar-nominated for his role in Brooklyn, will play General Hux in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. He will appear alongside Robert Downey Jr and Chris Evans as a villain in the Marvel film.

It’s official! Domhnall Gleeson has joined the Marvel universe to star in the upcoming film, The Eternals. The film is set to be released on November 6th, 2020 by Marvel Studios and will be directed by Chloe Zhao.
The Eternals will follow the story of a group of near-immortal beings whose existence was kept hidden from humans. They have been tasked with protecting Earth from their evil counterparts, The Deviants.
Not much else has been revealed about the film thus far but it is also known that Richard Madden and Kumail Nanjiani are set to star as well.

The 31-year-old Irish actor is best known for his roles in Harry Potter, True Grit and the critically acclaimed 2015 film Brooklyn. He won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for his role as Kingsley Shacklebolt in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1.
Director Scott Derrickson confirmed Gleeson’s casting on Twitter, saying that he was “thrilled” to announce that he had been cast as antagonist Jonathan Pangborn. The character is a former Paralympic athlete who became paraplegic after an accident, but was able to use magic to heal himself of his injuries. In the comics, Pangborn is played by Tilda Swinton’s character The Ancient One, but it is not known what changes may be made to this aspect of the story for the movie.
Doctor Strange will see Benedict Cumberbatch take on the titular role of Stephen Strange, a ” former neurosurgeon who serves as the Sorcerer Supremeβthe primary protector of Earth against magical and mystical threats.” The film is set for release on November 4 2016.
