The search for the right public image is one that every actor or actress, especially newcomers to the business, should be concerned with. I’m not sure where to turn for advice on how to handle my problem. This blog is a way of reaching out for help in a very public way. I hope this will allow me to get the feedback I need from other actors who may have gone through something similar.

I’m a young actor, just starting out and looking for my first break. I’ve had some success landing small parts in local theater-not much else. I’ve been in two commercials, one local (for a car dealer) and one national (for Dentyne gum), but these were as an extra, no lines. My agent says that I should stick with theater until I land a big part in a Broadway or off-Broadway production, because then I’ll have enough of a profile to land bigger roles in film and television. But she’s also aware that the competition is fierce and that most actors don’t wind up making it big at all.

What do you think of this plan? Is there another approach that would make sense? What do you think my public image should be? That’s what this blog is about: finding out what

Hey, blogosphere!

I’m Michael Jordan, the famous actor. You may remember me from such films as Space Jam and The Last Dance. I need your help with a PR problem.

I’ve been acting for a while now, but I haven’t had a hit in a while. How do I get back into the public eye? What should my image be? I want to find my own niche and make a comeback! (That sounds pretty romantic, doesn’t it?)

I’ve been thinking about some image changes:

Shave my head. People say I don’t look like myself with short hair, but it’s all about your perspective – you know what they say about bald is beautiful! (Read more here.)

Get an earring. Maybe something like this or this. That would be cool, right?

Get some tattoos. Or maybe just one tattoo that means something special to me and my fans.

Change my name. Maybe to M.J., or maybe to something completely different like Mike O’Neal or Owen Kimbrel or something like that… or maybe something special like Magic Jordan! (Get it? Like Magic Johnson?) What do you think? Should I change my name? If so, to what?

I am an actor and I need help with my image. They want me to be a Type A but I think I am a Type B. What do you think?

I am hard working and motivated, but I really just want to play video games and watch anime. Some people at work think I should see a therapist about this.

What do you think?

In the past, when I’ve asked my friends for their advice, they always say “You should be more like Mike Jordan.” But he’s an actor in movies and TV shows. How can he be a good role model for me?

I have a friend who is high up in the industry, so high that he has his own office on the lot. He has never been in any movies or TV shows, but he is still extremely wealthy and powerful. How did he do it? Do you have any advice for him?

Hi, I’m Michael Jordan. I’m an actor, and I love what I do. Unfortunately, there’s a problem in our industry. A lot of actors who go on auditions get turned down because they don’t look “the type” they’re going for.

It’s a good thing that casting agents are looking for certain types of people to play certain roles. After all, the last thing we want is to have someone who looks completely wrong in the part they’re playing. But that doesn’t help actors like me when we show up at an audition and get told we’re not right for the part.

I know a lot of people who have gotten turned away just because they didn’t look “the type” they were going for. It’s not fair! So I’ve decided to start this blog to help other actors like me find their type, so that we can break into this industry and make it big!

I know I’m not alone in saying that I’ve been having a lot of trouble with my image lately. If you ask me, it’s all the fault of this new director we’ve got. He’s never done a play before, and he doesn’t even seem to like actors.

I don’t know how he got this job. No offense to the other people in our company, but it seems like anyone could direct better than him. All you have to do is point at the people and tell them what to say and when to say it. The only problem is that he doesn’t do that very well either.

Why am I complaining? Because I need your help! If we don’t get rid of this guy soon, I’m going to quit being an actor forever!

Anyway, here’s what happened: Last month we had auditions for our new show, and everyone in the company read for the part of Hamlet. We all thought the best person for the part was Harry Potter, but our new director made him play Claudius instead. Then he cast me as Hamlet! Me! I’ve barely even acted before! Sure, I played Juliet in a little school production last year, but that doesn’t count because it wasn’t even a

I am an actor. I’ve been acting since I was a kid. I started off in musicals, and then moved into serious plays. I did a few commercials, then got my first television show when I was twenty-eight years old. That show did so well for the network that they put me in another one. And another one after that. Now I’m one of the most recognizable actors in North America.

People who know me best call me “MJ.” Some people call me “the actor,” or just plain “Mike.” But lots of peopleโ€”millions of peopleโ€”know me by my first name: Michael Jordan.

My last name has caused a lot of confusion in my life. It’s not the usual kind of confusion, with people mispronouncing it or calling me something like “Joe” by mistake. It’s more like everyone thinks they know me because they know my name, and they don’t even realize it’s my stage name. They think they’re meeting Michael Jordan, and instead they’re meeting me: MJ Jordan, actor and artist.

I’ve tried to use my real name at work: MJ Jordan (actor). But no one uses that name when they talk about my work; they all say “Michael Jordan.”

What do you say to a guy: “Oh, you should be playing the hot young stud”? When he’s 49? He’s not going to get cast in a lot of those roles. But it’s hard for him to just listen to that. Actors are used to being told what they can’t do and how they’re wrong.

I try to find something from their past that they’ve done that was successful, and then I say, “Well, you still have this quality, so how can we bring that out?”

I think it’s the same with everybody who comes in here. If I’m working with someone who says, “I want to be an action hero,” and I think, “Are you kidding?” I’ll try to talk about what else is interesting about them and ask them questions. Like: What kind of movies do you go see? Who are your heroes? Because maybe there’s some other way into this person.

For example, Michael Jordan: I’m going to have a very hard time finding a role for him unless it’s a comedy. Because he doesn’t have any sense of humor about himself at all! He thinks people are just dying for him to play the leading man, but he’s not as good-looking
