ACT Academy is a summer intensive theatre camp that provides training to high school actors and comedians from all over the nation. Hosted at St. Stephen’s Episcopal School, ACT Academy offers a unique opportunity for students to hone their performance skills in a wide range of classes with renowned instructors in the fields of acting, directing, playwriting, comedy, improv and more.
ACT Academy is a training center for actors, comedians, and theatre performers of all ages. We are located in Austin, Tx, and host students from all over the country. We provide an intensive curriculum that is designed to help performers reach their goals and turn them into professional, working actors.
Our instructors are working professionals with years of experience in the industry; ranging from Film, Television, Voice Over and Theatre.
We offer classes for kids, teens and adults. Our classes are offered year round in sessions beginning in January, March, July and September. Whether you’re looking for a great after school program for your child or wanting to continue your acting career ACT Academy is the place to be.
Act Academy is a long running act training program designed to give up and coming actors, comedians, and other theatre related people the opportunity to develop their skills in a nurturing and supportive environment. The program has been around since the nineties and has produced hundreds of graduates who are still working in the industry today as actors, comedians, directors, producers, writers, and more.

We are located in the heart of Austin, TX and host actors and comedians from all over the nation. Our training is based on the “Meisner Technique” which was developed by Sanford Meisner. This technique focuses on the art of acting by challenging actors to live totally in the moment. By doing so, an actor can learn to listen and react off of his/her scene partner. This skill may seem simple but it is a necessity for any actor looking to make it in this competitive industry.
We also offer private lessons for those who want more one-on-one training with our professional staff. Each lesson is customized to your individual needs and goals. Whether you are trying out for a school play or getting ready for a professional audition, we can help you! We have trained many beginners as well as working professionals.
Our classes are small and personal so that everyone gets their chance to work. We are a non-profit organization whose mission is teach youth the fundamentals of good health through nutrition education and physical activity. The foundation of ACT Youth Fitness Program is based on concepts of behavior change; this includes learning new skills, practicing them in class, and then applying them in the home environment.
