When you send a film to a Christian audience, there are certain rules you must follow. These rules are all based on the Bible. Therefore, when you look at the Bible, you will see that all the different types of film are represented. But when you look at it from an audience point of view, you will notice that there are some things that will be more acceptable than others.
This is why it is important for you to understand what type of audience your film is going to have and how to market your film through Christian film festivals. It is also important for you to find out which Christian film festivals are going to be interested in showing your film and which ones are not going to be interested at all.
If you’re interested in having your film shown at Christian Film Festivals, this is the page for you.
Here are all the festivals of interest to Christian filmmakers that I’ve been able to find. If you know of a festival I should add, please let me know: bob @ christianfilmmarket.com
I have listed the festivals alphabetically by month and then also by date (in order) within each month. I have also listed them by submission deadline date if you are looking for the next deadline or if you want to search for festivals with deadlines already passed.
This list is revised regularly as new festivals are added, old ones disappear or change their dates or submission rules.
The next festival list will be published on 1/15/2017.

Christian Film Festivals are the wave of the future and a way to get your film seen by many people. It is a great opportunity to market your film and get it seen by an audience that you might not otherwise reach.
The Christian Film Festival Directory has over 100 Christian Film Festivals listed, with many more being added every day. Since 2009, the number of Christian Film Festivals has grown substantially and there are now over 100 festivals in the United States alone. While many are juried and some are not, each film festival offers something unique for filmmakers who want to get their work noticed by the Christian moviegoing public.
Some festivals have several hundred entries, while others may have only a few dozen. In any case, each festival has its own criteria for submission and acceptance. The time frame for each festival varies from as little as one day to as long as a month. Most will announce winners within one week after receipt of entries.
Most Christian film festivals charge an entry fee for participation in the event. Some do not charge an entry fee but rather rely on donations or sponsor sponsorships to cover costs such as venue rental fees and other expenses associated with hosting a film festival. Entry fees usually range from $25-$50 per submission, with some offering free submissions
Choosing the right Christian film festival is essential to the success of your film. If you have a comedy, don’t submit your film to a Christian drama festival. If you have a documentary about abortion, don’t submit it to a Christian romance festival. You get the idea.
A good way to figure out which film festivals are right for your film is to first make a list of all the Christian film festivals. You can find tons of them by doing a simple Google search. Then write down what type of films they accept and their locations.
After you’ve made your list, narrow down which ones are best for your film. The main thing you want to look at is genre (comedy, action, thriller, etc.) and location (US or international). You should also look at how big each festival is and how many films they accept so you can see if sending in your film would be worth it or not.
The Christian market represents a large and growing audience for films. Although some films are produced specifically for that audience, many more films with strong Christian themes or characters are released by the major studios each year.
Many of these films get lost in the shuffle, but they can find an appreciative audience at festivals like the Heartland Film Festival (HFF), which has grown into one of the nation’s largest film festivals. The festival was founded in 1991 to “inspire filmmakers and audiences through the transformative power of film” with an emphasis on films that “entertain, challenge, and enlighten.” Over the years, HFF has become a showcase for both independent and studio films that feature family-friendly content with positive messages.
In recent years, HFF has shown movies from major studios such as Disney’s “Secretariat” and Sony Pictures’ “Soul Surfer,” as well as independent films such as “October Baby.” In addition to screenings, HFF also hosts seminars where filmmakers have an opportunity to share their experiences and insights with other industry professionals.
The festival also offers cash awards to help support new works in production. This year’s festival awarded $150,000 in prize money including a $100,000 Grand Prize awarded to the Best Film overall. Other
The first thing that you need to do is find out which types of films the Christian film festival will show. There are a few different types that you can choose from, and it is important to know which ones they will accept.
The second type of Christian film festival is held at a church where you can meet your fellow Christians in person. You can also meet some of the actors who have performed in films such as “The Passion of the Christ”. These festivals are usually smaller than other festivals, but they still attract a lot of people.
The third type of Christian film festival is held at a movie theater. These are usually very large and have plenty of space for everyone to enjoy the film. If you want to get the best seats, then you should go early since there are usually more people than seats available.
For the last 7 years, I have been helping churches and Christian organizations create live drama productions for their special events. The one question that I get asked the most from directors is “how do I get more volunteers to help with my production?”
I want to share with you a quick secret that will help you recruit more people in less time. It’s something that can be used by anyone in any organization. It’s called the “3 C’s”.
1) The first C is CARE. Make sure that you care about your volunteers and make sure that they know it. Take time to get to know them and what their needs are. Make sure they feel important and appreciated.
2) The second C is COMMUNICATION. Keep them informed of what’s happening so they don’t feel left out. If you don’t keep your volunteers informed, they will assume the worst and start talking amongst themselves. If this happens, you will end up with more chaos than you had in the beginning!
3) And the third C is CONNECTION – follow up with your volunteers on a personal level after each event or production and let them know how much you appreciated their help. You may not see them again for another 6 months, but if they know how much you
