The first thing to know about Black Widow is that it has nothing to do with the Marvel superheroine, Scarlet Johanssen. It’s a spinoff of The Matrix, which is a series of science-fiction films that came out in 1999 and 2000. The Wachowski brothers were the directors behind the original film, and they created Black Widow for those who wanted more of their cyberpunk universe.

The second thing to know about Black Widow is that it takes place in a completely different time period than The Matrix. There are no robots or cyborgs in this movie; only humans who have been genetically altered to survive in a post-apocalyptic world. They are known as “the black widows” because they’re all female and all share the same hair color (black).

The third thing to know about Black Widow is that it was written by Joss Whedon, who also wrote for Buffy The Vampire Slayer. This time around though, he’s taking on zombies instead of vampires.

The fourth thing to know about Black Widow is that it’s going to be released on May 1st, 2020. That’s right; we’re getting another film from one of our favorite directors on one of our favorite dates.
