Once you’ve found the time, take everything out of your closet and proceed to sort through your clothes one by one.
The first pile should be for clothes that fit and are in good condition. A second pile should be for clothes that don’t fit but are in good condition. The third pile should be for clothes that are stained and damaged irreparably. I recommend donating the clothes in the second pile if you haven’t worn them in over a year because chances are, you won’t wear them ever again.
Putting your closet back together should now be much easier than before because all of the things that don’t fit or aren’t wearable anymore have been purged from your collection and you know exactly what items you have left to work with. To keep things organized, make sure that all of your shirts are hung up neatly, pants are folded properly, and shoes are all lined up and out of sight.

Creating a home for everything that’s left will keep your life from becoming cluttered again! Use drawer organizers in your kitchen and bathroom to keep smaller items from getting lost in the shuffle. Use baskets and bins on shelves to corral loose items like socks and accessories.
4. Be realistic about how much space you need to store things efficiently.
