1. Overcome Your Shyness: As a child or teen actor, you have to learn how to get over your shyness so that you can obtain an acting job. This can be accomplished by taking acting lessons and participating in local plays. If you’re new to acting, start by taking improv classes with your friends and local theater groups. After getting some experience, try auditioning for commercials and low budget films until you’re ready for more serious acting roles.
