She is currently starring in ‘Jungle Cruise’ alongside Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt.

But before all of this, she was just a kid growing up with her parents in England. And when she was 12 years old, her life changed forever. Her mother was diagnosed with breast cancer and passed away not long after that when Knightley was only 15 years old.

It’s something that she still thinks about every day and it’s what really keeps her going and reminds her how precious life is.

“I’ve had my mother die of breast cancer, which I think makes you want to live every day as fully as possible,” Knightley said during an interview with Elle magazine. “I am so aware of how important it is to live your life.”
