Eoin Macken

Eoin Macken was born on 21 February 1983 in Dublin. He is an actor, model, writer and director. He studied History and English at Trinity College Dublin before moving to London where he trained in acting with Anthony Meindl at AMAW.

Macken has appeared in a number of television series including The Tudors, Camelot and Merlin, but he is probably best known for his role in the long running BBC medical drama Holby City where he played Dr. Arthur Digby for over three years. He also starred in the final series of RTE’s The Clinic (2011).

Recently, Macken has appeared in the NBC series The Night Shift (2014), where he continues to play Dr. Digby from Holby City. He also appeared alongside Daniel Craig in the film Blitz (2011) – playing lead character
